We have put a lot of thought into coming up with a Universal EVP Classification System and we urge other paranormal investigators to consider adopting it, because most groups either don't use a classification system at all or they use the old standard classification system, which we do not feel is nearly descriptive enough for all of the different types of EVP's we have encountered.

Our classification system has 3 parts (Class, Level & Catagory) as follows:

Class:

Class DC ( Direct Communication) = The voice clearly answered a question or directly responded to something said.
Class PC (Personal Communication) = The voice clearly says something meaningful directly to someone that is present.
Class RC ( Random Communication) = A voice that answers no direct question, does not appear to be aimed at any particualr person and doesn't make sense in the context it was received. Level 1 = Loud, clear and easy to understand, sounds like natural speech (includes whispers and fast speech).
Level 2 = Lower volume and the voice is warped, but it is discernable.
Level 3 = Very low volume, hard to understand, excessively warped.

Morph = The voice and/or the words of someone who is speaking are changed into something else in the playback of the recording. Words that are different than the person spoke or one voice changing to another, etc.
ERV (Event Related Voices) = Events such as, someone talking or coughing or the sound of a passing car or train, etc. seemed to trigger the Electronic Voice Phenomenon.
TR (Thread Related) = One utterance is a comment on or a response to an utterance just before. They are related by contextual thread. Hearing two or more voices talking to each other or a voice responding to something previously said by itself and/or someone or "something" else.
CHR (Chorale) = Two or more voices are speaking at the same time, either saying the same thing or something different.

Cemetery EVP's

At this time we have only discovered one EVP that was obtained, prior to the beginning of the Ouija Board experiment. From the time we put our fingers on the planchet until the time we took them off and walked away, at least 14 EVP's were obtained, within only 20 minutes/26 seconds. Of those, many are either direct communication or personal communication and we consider two of them to be Threatening Direct Communication. After that time, no more EVP's were obtained. Considering the fact that only one other EVP was obtained before using the Ouija Board and none afterwards, we feel those are pretty substantial numbers and worthie of consideration.

"Another Killer Song From The Graves" (9:59 pm) - This happens pretty frequently. Aedryan being a musician, will find wierd songs in his EVP's sometimes. This one has words and a drum beat. Another strange gift from beyond for the SHGHRS vault.... >8>)

Aedryan's EVP's Obtained During The Ouija Board Experiment

Begin Time: 10:45:06 PM

End Time: 11:05:32 PM

Total: 20:26

"A Child Speaking" (Time Unknown) - We're not 100% sure what the child is saying in this EVP, but she seems to be saying, "Content". At the very end of the clip another faint "Yeah" is heard as well. This EVP was found in our last reviewing of the audio and it's time was not recorded. Only that it was during the Ouija Board experiment. If we happen to come across it again we will calculate the time it was obtained. Otherwise, it has very little relevance anyway. (Random/Level 2)

"BAH!" (10:47 pm) - Random/level 1

"Put It Back In There" (10:54 pm) - Aedryan obtained this EVP while he was changing the video tape in his recorder. We have classified this EVP as Personal Communication/Level 1. If you listen closely you will actually hear, "Put it back in there." and after Aedryan puts the tape in you hear, "There!". The "There!" part is only level 1, due to its faintness.

"Eww.... Danger Exists" (10:55 pm) - This EVP was obtained shortly after Tony, Kim, Lynne and the others began using the Ouija Board, while Aedryan was back by his video recorder, away from the board. We have classified this EVP as Possible Personal Communication/Level 1. Click Here to hear the slowed down, enhanced version.

"A Cat Meowing?" (10:56 pm) - We have no idea what this is, but it sounds like a cat meowing after the girl's cell phone rings. This sound was not audible while we were there and we never saw any cats. Wierd.... (no classification)

"Yeah" (10:58 pm) - This is clearly a Direct Communication/Level 1.

"Hey" (10:58 pm) - Another clear Direct Communication/Level 1 EVP.

"Yeah 2" (11:00 pm) - This Random/Level 1 EVP was obtained just as Aedryan and Kim were getting ready to use the Ouija Board alone.

"I'm Puting You On The Bottom Of The List!" (11:00 pm) - This one may or may not be direct communication. Had this one came through after the "I'm Gonna Kill Em All!" EVP we would be a little worried about what this meant.... We have classified this EVP as Possible Personal/Direct Communication/Level 1.

"A Man in The Distance" (11:01 pm) - This man's voice is so distant that we can't make out what he is saying. Possibly, "Yes!"? (no classification)

"Yeah 3 & 4" (11:03 pm) - The first "Yeah" heard in this EVP seems to be random, but the second one seems to be Direct Communication. It also sounds as though this spirit was standing there breathing the whole time, in between the "Yeah's".....

"I'm Gonna Kill Em All!" (11:05 pm) - This one is just scary! It clearly seems that we offended "someone" and she wasn't very happy! We had just finished using the Ouija Board and Aedryan had just sat the planchet down and walked away when this EVP was obtained. As far as we can tell, the first word heard is, "Coat!". We're not sure what that means, but our newest member - Lynne walked over to Aedryan and said, "Brr...", because she was cold. We think that a spirit may have morphed her voice from that point on, because it all seems to be the same voice. However, we can assure you Lynne did not threaten to kill us all! We have classified this EVP as Threatening Direct Communication/level 1/Morph.

A Couple Of Scares

"The Coyote Scare" (11:25 pm) - Ok, this was pretty un-nerving. This audio clip doesn't even do it justice. It was overwhelming as it was happening. It sounded as though we were completely surrounded by them. Though we're pretty sure this is probably a regular occurance in this area, we can't help but wonder if this could have been a warning that had to do with the threatening EVP's we obtained. Probably just a coincidence though....

"The Camera Scare" (11:42 pm) - This was pretty phreaky too. Matt had just approached Aedryan to tell him he just captured an ecto photo. Aedryan asked him where he got it and before Matt could answer him, Aedryan took a picture in the general vacinity that matt had just came from. It sounded as though someone set off a firecracker and there was a very bright flash as he did so. The picture that was taken doesn't seem to show anything out of the ordinary.

The Gleeson Farm EVP's

"Stop!" (1:24 am) - We can't go into any detail about this EVP, but we believe this may have been a warning. (Direct Communication/Level 1)
