Hi Guys! Found my way back to the forum
I have a question: Is this the area of the board to post anomolous sounds recordings for feedback? Have a few captures that I've worked up the nerve to present on the site for interpretations and general commentary ... if that's something you do here.

Doin good! Yeah, here is fine to post the links to your sound files. Don't worry we won't make fun or yank ypur chain but our opinions may be a little sharp depending on how questionable the material is and sensitive you are.
We'll try to take it easy on you. Also remember, it is only our opinion and a lot of the time, even though we may think it is a good recording we may play devils advocate with you. Just to see how strong your arguement is.... _________________ Frank Ratka

Thanks!
Scrutiny is welcomed, as in: questioning methodology, possible matrixing or recording conditions & the like.
My goal is to gather interpretations on the contents of my rec.s (ASSP/EVP). They'll hopefully lend some objectivity to what's actually happening or being.
And ...
A response of:
"This sounds fake (more on that below) but what's being said is this: ______."
... is a more desired outcome for me than ...
"Seems authentic (or "Wow, interesting"), but I can't really interpret the meaning of this voice/sound". though I understand either response is valid and at least partially useful
Re: fakery - Some recordings include mimickery of my own voice and so credibility is low from the start LOL. Another thing: Because I capture a lot of female voices, it also makes me suspect, since some voiced responses roughly match my own vocal pitch range (little pitch differential, though quality differs). People who don't know my voice or don't have a good ear have questioned this aspect of some rec.s.
I can already tell you that I haven't used a formal clinical setting yet (Faraday cage, etc.), but for now am using relative silence. But also I've recorded w limited background noise, which I monitor as best as possible.
Anyway, no rec.s have been made out of doors, but there are (noted) sounds of distant ambient sounds like traffic in some. Usually it's limited to one or two noted amb. sounds.
You may notice there is a person who speaks w me in a lot of my recordings. That is my friend, and I've found that her place (or something about our meetings?) generates a lot of activity. Not sure why. |

Aren't you a control freak!? You can't define what and how I will critique your ASSP/EVP files.
Don't worry we are not going to tell you that you suck and should never even look at another recorder again.
We will tell you what we think it sounds like, how you can possibly improve it to make it clearer, whether or not we think it's paranormal, or even how to filter certain sounds out.
Post away! _________________ Frank Ratka

LOL Come on now, no need for name-calling here: I know I can't tie you or anyone down and enforce speech (nor do I want to).
I simply mentioned what is "welcomed" (that I'll pay attention to), meaning: anything that is reasonable and constructive and doesn't smack of the tactics that are used at many so-called "Skeptical" sites that tear peoples' stuff down for fun.

Right then. |

Yeah I can tell you're a bit control freaky: Why else would you have taken something that benign and run with it
And yeah .... OK there is a bit of control freakiness to my essence
I knew there was a reason I liked you so much ... we seem alike in certain ways |

Take your hand off my ass! LOL I don't swing that way...!
I think everyone likes control to a certain extent. I don't take it too far though.
Have you posted any sound files yet? _________________ Frank Ratka
