This is a story my dad just told me. He's had quite a few experiences and firmly believes in the paranormal. He was taking a drive north with two of my uncles to go fishing. They parked beside a lake and planned on sleeping in the car and fishing all night. While they were setting everyting up, a man came up to them and told them they were on the paper mills property and they would be arrested if they stayed. The man offered for them to stay in his cabin just up the road. He seemed like a nice guy so my dad and my two uncles said sure. The cabins were for mill workers. The man admitted when they arrived it wasn't his cabin, it was his brothers, but that he was a way. The man and my dad and uncles had a few drinks around a bonfire and talked for a while before going to sleep. The next morning several pictures were taken just for fun and memories. Many of them were of my dad, my uncles, and of the man. They then dropped the man off at a corner store where he said he needed to be and my family members left. Two months later my dad developed the pictures to show my mom. The man was not in a single picture. My dad is certain that in several of them, the man was standing right beside him, but he's not in the picture. Just a blank space. What could this mean?

Cool story! You may want to try and find this guy. Ask if anyone knows him in the area. Try to find his brothers, find out who owns the cabin. Look up the history of the area. Hope to hear more! Very Happy

Madcow, I would like to hear your point of view. You put up the bullshittometer, but never said why. Do you not like new ghost hunters? Or should we think that there is not a point. Confused

Seems to me that story, or a close veration has been around since the dawn of film photography. Just do a google search and you will probably find 1000's of similar stories. 3rd person accounts are always a red flag for me to begin with. If the story starts out with "I heard" or "My friends...dad....mom....dog...etc"

Regarding Ghost Hunters, I enjoy the show, there I said it. Do I think it is 100% accurate and legit, probably not. Would I like to believe it is, yes.

I had the opportunity to see them in person over the summer and they are quite likable and explained much about the differences between what happens during an investigation and what ends up on the show.

Thanks Madcow, I am always glad to learn things like that. thank you for the reply! honda, I know they say the ghost shows on T.V. are fake, but I must say I still enjoy Ghost adventures,or Ghost hunters also. I do not think it is harmful, I just remember it is most likely not real.

I know my dads story is true, I know my dad and I know when hes making stuff up. We're still trying to find all the pictures,they're in a box we havn't been able to dig through yet. The place where they stayed is no longer there, the plant was closed down and the cabins were removed. It did happen over 21 years ago.

Don't ever say ghost hunting is easy......they were hanging out w/ a ghost & still couldn't get a picture!!!LoL
