At first glance it looks like someone moved when snapping the shot with a slow shutter speed and low light. I would have to say it is probably not paranormal in nature. I have seen this effect before in some of my own 35mm shots.

What are your own thoughts on the photo?

The light in the top right corner of the photo seems to back up Fratka's theory. I've seen this happen in a lot of pictures... What type of camera took this and using what type of film.

it was just a digital camera, fuji i recently found it again after my purse went missing along with other belongings of mine and i wanted to update my pictures so i sat downstairs in the kitchen (by the computer) and took some pics. every other picture i took was clear expect for this one. the only thing thats behind me in my kitchen is the sink and it resembles nothing that the picture shows, i didnt move, thats why i dont understand, ive taken thousands of pictures. i know that it could be a mistake but it looks identical to a ghost ive had around me for four years....just caught my attention. my younger brother saw it and he said it was the little girl hes been seeing around the house. for the past week hes told my mom and i that he sees a black girl. im not sure what to believe right now. thank you though for looking at it.

When i first saw the photo i didn't see anything except the distortion and the light streaks but now i see a face. It could very well be a face i see. but if you could can you possibly get the picture in photoshop and alter it to show the photo in negative for further examination?

yeah ill do a negitive of it. but i want you guys to know i took the picture of my self i held it out infront of me and took the picture. one of my friends was confused by the picture cause she thought my face was what i was trying to show, im in the picture and what i think might be my reaper ghost is directly behind me. i can even take a picture of my kitchen to prove nothing even resembles that shape.

the neg. img sucks...but there it is.

The negative shows that it may very well be your "reaper" But it can also be the flash of your camera sending your shadow against something in the background. I also see something else in the photo that was also in the negative but hard to see.

Following that up if your flash was off then i have no explination for you. I hope my insight helps but remember. I'm an amatuer hunter so I don't know everything. heh.

now that you say that about the flash my flash didnt go off that time, thats why i looked at it, the picture was then blurry and i noticed the figure behind me. thank you so much for your help though. ive seen alot of ghosts not sure why but any help i can get is great. Very Happy

I do see the black thing, but to me it looks like either hair or just the shadow of the person... But I do see a hand at the bottom of the "Reaper".... I've circled what I see in the pic but don't know how to upload it here sorry...

At only a second's glance, I could clearly see a perfect figure of a girl with long, straight, brown or black hair in this photo and she seems to be wearing a white shirt or possibly a dress. I can see her eyebrows, eyes, nose, lips, hair and everything - vividly. However, I can tell by the things you are circling and pointing out, that you are not looking at this photo correctly though. The little areas you are circling are just part of the girl's hair and face and such.

The camera's slow shutter speed and/or camera movement are surely to blame for the blurry effect, but there is clearly a girl in the photo. Is it an apparition though? I can't say, because for all we know, it could be a picture taken of a picture or a picture taken of someone's reflection in a mirror or some such. It's just impossible for us to know what the conditions were during the time this photo was taken. I will say that it is awefully..... "perfect" though.... The girl in the photo is in a perfect pose (in kind of a sideways stance), exactly like a photographer would have someone stand for a portrait....

In all honesty, this photo strikes me as someone's reflection in a mirror or a picture taken of a picture with reflective glass on the front of the frame, etc. Either would explain the white lines and streaks across the photo. In other words.... A fake....

The girl is her Aedryan. She mentioned that a couple posts up I think. If it is a Fuji FinePix camera they are notorious for slow shutter speeds, and low pixels. They also have an automatic flash feature that you can shut off or force a flash.

yes im in the picture, i was holding the camera infront of myself, the flash did not go off in this picture, other then that i have no idea why it did what it did. all my other pictures were clear but this one. i didnt photoshop this or anything. its not a fake. this looks exactly like a ghost ive had around me for four years. i know my camera could just be messed up and what not but in all hoesntly this is what my reaper looks like besides all the possibilty my camera had a slow shutter....theres not hing behind me that would cast a shadow that looks like that shape. i can even take a picture of my kitchen its clear open space.
