|
|
I wouldn't call myself an investigator. So I wanted to ask the people on this forum who actually go out in the field what they think are the "No- No's " during an investigation..
Also how did you pick your team. I feel that you would have to put them through quite an interview before you could trust them out in the field with you. Or they were your friends.
I would think that if I were to go out investigating that I wouldn't want someone who is too extreme or becomes frightened or freaked out. Just thought I would ask and see what you guys/girls look for in a team and also what you Don't want happening during an investigation. |

| avoid people who seem too weird and too flaky and especially those people who think they need to be the king/queen of something. I dont know many of the technical donts but i would never bark out orders or outrageous demands to supposed entities. |

I've heard some investigators taunt the entity, ghost, etc,. to try to get a reaction from them..I guess it would take some experience and learning the ropes before I would taunt a spirit...call me a wimp but ...without the proper experience things could go wrong and that would ruin an investigation..
Also I would think that to pick a certain kind of person would be a good thing...you don't want someone with you that can't handle the situation in a calm way....also you wouldn't want someone who is skeptical of why your investigating in the first place..right? |

She's talking about me here! I taunt the hell out of them when the client is comfortable with it. _________________ Frank Ratka

We are pretty much taunt relentlessly too. These groups that go out there and tip toe around and claim that it's dangerous to taunt the spirits or even ask them to prove that they're there, kill me. I mean, if they don't want to experience the paranormal or collect any actual evidence, why are they even out there?

Exactly! I'm there to see and record evidence of the paranormal not sit and watch dust collect on the furniture. A couple of our clients are a little weary of the "sparking up" routine so we don't do it at their houses.
We do have one though that allows us to "do our thing" and get them real pissed off! _________________ Frank Ratka

I was reading this to see if I could figure out how to catch mine, so you could see what exactly was going about....but now I have a question:
two really:
If it killed you would that really be proof?(kinda like a tree falls sorta thing.)
Are you banking onit not having the strength to actually harm you? |

There has never been a documented death or even a serious injury caused by ghosts....

I would have to personally witness a spirit attack to believe it is even possible for a spirit to harm someone....

| We try to piss them off sometimes. There has been a few it pissed them off when they try to get your attention and you brush them off. That is when they get pissed off and try things. |

It's because priority one for any paranormal investigator should be to collect evidence by any means necessary. As i've said many times, paranormal investigation is essentially boring when it comes right down to it, because honest to goodness "ghostly" occurrences are extremely rare and far between out in the field (or anywhere else for that matter). So, we try everything we can think of to try and "stir things up".... _________________
