I have a friend from Wales whom I talk to on the internet who is a Welsh druid, though he lives in Scotland now. We've had some interesting discussions about the differences in our cultures, but one night I sensed a spirit around him who wanted to contact him and I mentioned this. He didn't pay attention to the spirit and over the course of a couple of weeks the spirit got aggressive and began doing things like turning the tv on and off while he was watching it, or moving stuff around and making noises in the house, like walls being banged on.
Finally, the other night the spirit showed itself to me. He was a big man who looked like something out of Braveheart, wearing a kilt with a plaid slung over his bare torso. (My friend mentioned that one time he felt the spirit standing behind him and he was a huge man in life who towered over my friend, when I told him this.) The showed me an axe with a spear point on the end of the haft above the knoll of the axe head when I asked him to show me the time he came from.
And then the picture show began.
The spirit held up a golden torque, it was a solid circle of gold and the terminals had lions' heads nestled in the cups at the ends. And behind the man there was a shetland pony with a cart it pulled that looked like something that would be used in a mine. I saw some plain whitish-grey earthenware dishes and a slender pitcher of the same material. There was a golden cup shaped like a tumbler with complex ornamentation and the central motif was horses drawing a chariot. It looked more like something from Greece, but the design was of mixed cultures. The chariot motif reminded me of the Atrebates and their geoglyph, the white horse of Huffington. I saw a hill, or mound, that was circled halfway up by a low stone wall, and on the top of the hill was a flat stone laying in the center of the circle.
I felt like I was getting a history lesson in show and tell pictures that would help to pinpoint the area this spirit had come from.
"You know," I told my friend, "you really need to make a point to sit down and talk to this spirit. He is getting really pushy about contacting you and once he has someone who can see him he doesn't like to break contact. He's not going to quit until you talk to him, and it shows how stubborn he is when he will show himself to someone halfway around the world to make his point about being there with you."
Well, my friend laughed about that. For some reason he hasn't tried to sort things out with the spirit and I am beginning to wonder what is going on. If anything, I would dearly love to know what is so important that this spirit is hanging around to discuss with him. |
