I had an Out of body expereince when I was 12... same thing happened. I felt tingles and a spinning sensation. When I opened my eyes I was up towards the cealing looking down at my self. I was suddenly and sharply back in my body and scared as hell. I ran to my mother and told her what happened. The next day she bought me a book on Astral Projection.

Ever since then I had tried to self induce an OBE but have been unsuccesful. I beleive you really have to be in that perfect moment of awake/sleep/relaxed to experince it. I suppose that is kinda like self hypnosis. But I beleive it's the self hypnosis that gets you too this state.

I can remember that night I was extremly relaxed and I was feeling the spins and going with it like I was flying that's when it happened.

I stopped trying when I came really close and suddenly heard a mans voice scream "no" in my ear. I took that as a sign that maybe I should let it happen naturally, sadly it never has again.

I love any "Doppleganger" topics. I've just always found those stories so fascinating, and have always wondered what causes these anomalies. If anybody knows of any cool sites on the subject, please lemme know! Smile

hey tanika,
youre not alone in that you feel you have a spirit touching you. i too can feel the pressure that you describe and sometimes even feel as if someone if strangling me from behind. i also get the pins and needles, though i associate it somehow with underbreathing from the feeling of asphyxiation.
i also question if im imagining things because i cannot see who/what might be touching me. i will try using my left and right hands to answer questions and see if that solves anything.
i know that this thread is from some time ago and im not sure if anyone will respond, but it seems like a decent time to say that i believe that i am a medium as i see spirits regularly and have relayed messages between the living and the dead. its past the point where i think that im imagining things. this is real, dont knock it .

adryan, i know that you dont believe in mediums, psychics etc... but try to keep an open mind.

i havent had an OBE for a year now (my only experience with this was last year during my depression) and my description is almost identical to yours.

i am 15 this year and ive already experienced many paranormal happenings. any advice?
