I suppose most of you have herd of rods but for those who havn't they are "unknown" beings that fly and can only be seen on film. Well monster quest on the histoy channel finnay solved one. Rods are nothing more than objects flying fast by the lens making th image blurred. How did they find this out? Through a series of tests invlving one with a regular camera and high speed camera pointed at the exact same spot on a bush. The bush was shaken and in the regular camera were several rods but in the high speed camea they were nothing but bugs. That is what happens when an object passes through the field of vision of a camera or video camera, the image gets blurred and strectched out. Just like a photo taken of a seagul by a famous photographer. As he took the photos the first photos looked like rods but as the photgraphe speed up the camera speed you could see it was a seagul and when it was slowed down again it looked like a rod once again. So there you have it, a very logical explaination for a creature no one eve cared about to begin with.

Thanks for sharing, Dr. This is REALLY old news though. Here is a whole page full of "plasma rods" and other anomalies that were caused by a combination of fast moving objects (mostly bugs), a slow shutter and camera movement:

Yeah, there really isn't ANYTHING left that hasn't been scientifically debunked 100x over, as far as photographic and video "anomalies" go. Sad, but true....
Here I go again....
Say it with me, folks....
EVP's are pretty much the only thing left that are worth putting any time and consideration into....
