RODS FACT OR FICTION. Does anyone know what this is? It's been reported that they are creatures that we can not see?? Is this for real?

"Plasma rods" are typically caused by a combination of a light source (or bugs), a slow shutter speed and camera movement....

One of our members captured the "plasma rod" in the following photo, during one of our investigations at Tinker's Creek:

"Come With Me"

I named this photo "Come With Me", because the plasma rod appears to be coming from the house and wrapping clear around the girl's arm, as if it's trying to pull her towards the house or something. It's photos like this that really makes us wonder. The strangest part about this photo is, the following photo was captured only seconds after it. It was the very next photo taken:

"The Gatekeeper's 2nd Warning"

This is what would traditionally be considered to be an ecto manifestation. The weather conditions weren't entirely optimum for fog to occure, but it was close enough that we can't rule out the possibility, despite the spooky forms, which can be seen within the "ecto". It's just REALLY odd how this was the very next photo taken, only seconds after the "plasma rod" photo.... Shocked

So, unfortunately, I can't answer your question. All I can say for sure is, plasma rod photo anamolies, which we KNOW were caused by a combination of a light source (or bugs), a slow shutter speed and camera movement seem to be identical to ones that we feel were not.

Wierd how that one doubled....

All three of the above photos were captured with the same camera on the same night and it NOTORIOUSLY had a slow shutter, which continuously produced false positive photos. If you wanna see all kinds of other FUNKY false positive photos that are caused by cheap cameras with slow shutter speeds, take a look at all of DD's photos, which she took with that camera that same night:

Many Rods are caused by slow shutter speed. This photo will show you an example. The moon, and movement is causing the effect.

Here is one from a street light.

But if your talking about the rods you seen on tv, one that look like they may have multiple wings with long body.. They have done experiments with these and found that can be same or close results from dragon flies.[/img]

Don't ya just love it when ya spend a half hour, replying/posting with a detailed, scientific answer with comparison photos and everything else and no one ever even comments or adds anything to the discussion?
