I don't think being psychic has anything to do with seeing ghosts. When they create a visual phenomena anyone can see them. I saw a full body apparition walking around in an office building, and later a person who feels he has no psychic abilities saw it when he was working late. In this case, time was a factor. Someone had to be in the building at the time the phenomena normally occurred to see this ghost, which happened to be after midnight. I had been in the building at earlier hours as a janitor and had never seen anything, or sensed anything. Until the night I came in late it had just been a building to me.
In another building, I saw two ghosts, one was a full body apparition, probably not sentient, and the other was a sentient spirit that was curious about me. I found out later I wasn't the only one to see things in that building and that one employee refused to work at night alone in the building because of the stuff that he had seen. The place was very haunted.
At the local Russian Orthodox church, I have sensed ghosts plenty of times, but I have never seen any apparitions. A woman who was planting flowers on her relatives graves got scared away by two very clearly visible full body apparitions. She looked up and two people were watching her who were dressed in old time clothing, and when she realized she could see through them, she left in a hurry and never went back. She has never felt like she had any psychic abilties, and that is the only paranormal experience she has ever had.
As far as I can tell, being psychic only means that if a ghost isn't creating a visual apparition you can sense their presence or look into the spirit world and see them there. If they are able to manifest a visual phenomenon, then anybody with functional eyes can see the ghost.
I am guessing that ghosts create an energy that can bend light to form an image, like a mirage in the desert from heat waves. They simply increase the energy level in the place where they are and an image is formed that reflects what they look like. |

| You could be right Parlance..I don't consider myself psychic at all...but I've had the strange feeling that I was being followed quite a few times...was it by something paranormal? Well there was no one behind me when I turned around so....who knows why the sensation occurs...but I don't think it makes you a psychic ....Also I've seen a full apparition but had no sensation it would appear and this has been for many years so....hmmmm...It does make one wonder doesn't it? |
