My answer really isn't there. I'm just not sure about OOBE. My senses tell me that it's not possible/most likely BS though. I think it would pretty much be impossible to prove OOBE's to be be genuine. How can people who claim to be able to do this, be sure they're not just dreaming or hypnotizing themselves?

I have been able to do them since 1994 and I do them from a waking state of consciousness (controlled). There is a huge difference between OBE and dreaming (HUGE) and I have never been under hypnosis so I have no idea what that is like! When you start moving farther from the physical and toward the more subtle energies is when it gets "iffy" and "reality" can take on a little different meaning, but you never lose control or consciousness.
As for whether it is real or not...well, really who cares. The experience is so significant and personal that it really doesn't matter whether it is real or some made-up mind world. While I am out I see my body, I am able to relay verifiable events. I don't really know how to explain it besides you will just have to try it for yourself and makeup your own mind.

| I totally belive in OBE since I was brought back from the "dead" once in my life. I vaugley remember myself looking down at my body before I was ressusitated. |
