Once again it seems people have let there mouth overload they're ass. Listen this is a paranormal forum, not a political forum. Whatever your personal politics may be, they need to stay personal. No one is going to agree on everything they view in the world.

Politics and a world view of the news is keeping us divided on really important topics. As I have said many times the U.S. public only knows about 6% of what there government actually does, as such people make a fairly ignorant arguement on any topic concerning politics and the government.

When something is said that is not agreeable to all, tempers flare, emotions run high and things are said that usually are not easily taken back. Although it is important to express your opinion, remember it is important for EVERYONE to state their opinion and in some cases just agree to disagree. In other words keep it polite!

Remember the old rules of polite conversation: don't talk about religion, politics or sex and everyone will get along. Even the strongest of friendly relationships can't always withstand an arguement involving one of these subjects.

In closing, this forum is for the free expressions of theories, ideas and beliefs about paranormal activity. It is not a place to freely sling personal insults or threats. Those two things are pretty much the only things that will get you banned from this forum.

Very well put as always, Frank! I have fought the urge to post my political views (and many others) publicly, ever since I started this rantz thread. Now we know why!

For those of you who may be wondering what this is all about, three of our long time forum members (two of which have always been trouble makers) posted their ANTI views about death penalties and the war on terror. When I replied with much different political views, I was attacked by all three of them with nasty insults and name calling, after which I banned them from the forums. They have since been continuing to send me nasty emails, filled with insults and terroristic threats almost daily and apparantly crusading to try and turn everyone against me.

Anyway, Frank is right though, some topics are just best left undiscussed and above all, this forum's main focus is supposed to be the paranormal. We've had too many people in the past, who spend way too much time in the Rantz and Off The Topic threads and nowhere near enough time in the paranormal threads.

Aedryan, you should have kept the topic here and locked it, instead of completely deleting it, because when I saw that those three were gone, I thought you had gone nuts, or maybe Genasty had hacked your computer and decided to mess with us here. Now that I know the full story, I quite agree that taking that turn when discussing such topics are bannable offenses. Was it right there in the board, or did they PM you with the attacks on your views. As I said though, you should have kept the board up and locked it, woth O final message on it saying you were unhappy that they attacked you about your views, and that you were locking the board and banning them. Just a little advice, maybe for future occurances like this.

Thanks Shark. I've went nuts alright, but that wasn't the cause of all this.... LOL! I really should have at least copy/pasted all of the posts and saved them somewhere just to show you guys how it all went down at least. But, being that i'm somewhat in the public eye, it wasn't very smart of me to ever publicly display my rather harsh political views. I've been resisting the urge to post my thoughts on the war and death penalties and such for a long time, but it's too touchy of a subject for "ANTI-everything"/activist type people to be open for discussion, without hard feelings resulting. Surprisingly, this was the first time someone ranted about this sort of thing here and look what happened the FIRST time someone expressed a different view!

Anyway, i'm just glad i'm not alone in here and certainly not in the world with my political views....

There is a state full of people down in Texas who share a lot of your views. Like Ron White said in one of his comic routines, "When other states are trying to abolish the death penalty, Texas put in an express lane". LOL

Oops, maybe I shouldn't be showing my views. F*ck it, I'm not a politician and I don't give a sh*t about what people think about my political views.

BTW: If you have never seen Ron White is has his own tour but is mostly known for his part in the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the cable guy and Bill Engvall. If you have not seen it, get it you won't be sorry!

I think Fratka has a good idea about changing the nature of this particular area of the forum. Instead of an open invitation to rant about anything under the sun, why not limit it to frustrating experiences with ghost hunting? Like when the camera doesn't work, or you forget to pack spare batteries, or the computer eats your pictures with a glitch? Rants like that would open the way for a learning process.

With an open invitation to rant about ANYTHING, I don't even want to go into what people might decide to talk about, simply because it would give them ideas.

don't feel bad aedryan no one would agree
with my political views either as i am sure mine
on the death penalty are as bad if not worse
and the war ha! i won't say a word
but also i feel that our rights of freedom of speech
and expression of ideas and views has been hindered
so much that this society does not so much resemble a democracy anymore it rather resembles early russia or maybe germany (early hitler befor he went insane)
