new to the site

Hi I'm Stacy from Lynn MA and I'm new to the site. I had a paranormal experience when I was younger, and it has left me very interested in the the paranormal. I watch Ghost Hunters and GHI religiously. I would love to go on an investigation some day and try to experience some REAL paranormal events again. I know that if you are on this site as well, then most of you probably feel the same way I do about the paranormal. I think that there is something out there that can't be explained and I want to find out the truth!!!! Very Happy

I just wanted to welcome you to the site, we are fairly new in the forum as well. Voices In the Dark is a Paranormal Investigations Team located in Lawton, OK.
I saw your post and want to help you track down a team in your area! Voices In the Dark has a myspace page and I am in contact with several other teams from all over united states, so if you have a myspace account this will help. Hello Vixen! I love Ghost Hunters, and GHI as well! There is a cool one called Paranormal State that is great. They are like taps, but they are college students! I want to investigate ghost's someday to. I just got a digital voice recorder. I will see what I can catch!

No problem.... Those unscrupulous, condescending assholes and their show truly deserve all the truth people can possibly spread about them. All of these paranormal TV shows do.... Now Paranormal State's fruitcake resident "sensitive" has his own show too - "Children Of The Paranormal". What a freakin' circus that one is.... Laughing

I have seen children of the paranormal also, and it did feel like a circus. I feel glad I will not be fooled by this anymore. I will see more clearly what is not real in the field of paranormal research. Cool

Hello everyone!

I would like to say, that I enjoy children of the paranormal because I believe it helps the kids that don't understand what gifts they have. It is hard to grow up and have everyone look, or say you are crazy, and or convince you that you are something evil because you are sensitive to the paranoraml. I personally grew in a house hold and then forth through foster homes who did not accept me for what my abilities are. I have lived in several homes and few of them were convinced I was a product of the "devil" and such. People naturaly fear what they don't understand. I really don't know if they prescreen the childern on the show, to make sure they are truely sensitive or just base it off of what they claim. So far I have seen the show give some amazing gifted teens a new outlook in their lives. Belief is amazing and very powerful, the ability to believe in ones-self is even stronger.

I personally haven't seen the show....humm maybe not released here in Aus...But my basic i suppose you could so call "Doubts" are that anything that is put on Tv all has one basic principal "Entertainment"..i know that there are show's that are Educational but the reason people watch are they are "Entertaining" as well. What you see on Tv is not always the thruth and or has been streached to be made to make people watch i mean except the news of course. I am not getting down on the show like i said i have never even seen it but what i am stressing is that you should always make sure of the possibilties and do your own sort of research and make sure you are getting all of the answers...thats all. I know i do..just to be sure you know, it cant hurt and you never know. Very Happy

Children Of The Paranormal pretty much follows the same old all drama/no evidence BS filled format as Paranormal State. It's like some sort of sick, twisted play and all of the feeble-minded "sensitives" just keep feeding off of each others fantasies. Kinda reminds me of the old Vampire The Masquerade roleplaying days or something, when we would just keep building on the story as we went....
