New activity!

Some of you know from the old forum that I have had a rather new presence in my apartment. At first I wasn't sure because there was no overt activity besides visible anomalies, which still persists and a few bumps and bangs. I haven't got my wife to give me permission to set-up and monitor the activity like I would like but she seems to be coming around.

Last night, around 9:30PM CST my wife and I were talking in the living room. She had her back to the hallway that leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Anyway, while I was listening attentively (hehe) I noticed movement just to the right of her head. Knowing that you should never look directly at it I watched as the face of a young boy formed in the doorway of my childrens bathroom. The bathroom was dark with just a floorlamp providing light to the room. The face was really noticible with a hazy outline of a torso. I finally glanced over at him (a couple times) and he was still there. This is the funny part...my wife stopped in mid-sentence and said, "just wave at him and pay attention to what I am saying". I just giggled! I then asked her how she knew it was a "him" and she said, I don't know I just do!

Anyway, I think he is the one who stands in my closet at night (I keep the closet door open). Also, this may just be coincedence but when I went to turn on the closet light the night before last it flashed and burned out (new bulb). I know this happens all the time in a home but under the circumstances it may have some significance.

Frank, Your wife sounds like my hubby...When I see the little girl and I'm talking to him or vise-versa...He'll just say....Is she there or which way is she headed this time.....hehehe funny.. Sounds like you have a little ghosty friend that is asking you for something...Have you figured it out yet? Maybe you can convince your wife to help you investigate.....?

Hi Frank,
I have a question. I have never heard you are not supposed to look directly at them. Why is that? Just trying to learn without looking ignorant. Embarassed

Ghostlymom,

It's not anything metaphysical it's physcal (optical) and psychological. I learned to do it over the years thanx to the military. It's a technique developed for night-vision (without optics) where you notice movement first and identify it with your peripheral vision. In low light if you look directly at it the blind spot in your eye will cause it to either disappear or cause the image to muddle.

I tweaked the technique for ghost hunting for the psychological aspect, as a "just in case" measure. I'm sure everyone knows when someone is looking at them, you know that burning feeling in the back of your mind that makes you look around? It is something we used to shift our perception and attention away from the target so we don't alert it to our presence while still being able to identify them.

In a ghost sense, we don't want to alert them that we see them.

ahh got it. My husband also was in the military and explained it a little further to me. He calls it purple light and we all have it just have to learn to fine tune it. Thanks for the info.
