I posted about this on another forum (on this site) but since there were no posts on poltergeists...thought I'd do the honors.
I sincerely believe I had a poltergeist in my room when I was around 7 yrs. old. Ok...I know some of you might think I'm just nutty. (And you wouldn't exactly be wrong in assumming that) BUT I know what I heard, and I was NOT dreaming-it happened EVERY night.
It would start off with tapping on the inside of the closet door, which would get progressively louder & more insistent.
It was followed by what sounded like some one (Or some THING) walking around my room, and also someone breathing heavy. One night, I heard an EVIL laugh RIGHT IN MY EAR! I almost wet the bed. I never SAW anything, becoz I was too scared to pull my head out from under the covers, and I used to sleep with my cat for company. (Coz I was skeered!)
The night the THING laughed in my ear, my cat literally clawed her way out from under those covers.
I developed an ulcer while we lived in that house, and my normally easy-going parents began to fight A LOT!
Any body else ever experienced anything like this??

This has happened to me. I can tell you tapping and walking around the room can be explained. If you have any siblings then maybe that would also explain the laugh. But the footsteps could be the floors of an old house creeking. I cannot however explain the heavy breathing unless your cat has asthma. _________________ Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. |

I used to hear tapping on my desk right regularly.
Sounded like someone gently tapping a quarter on the surface. Once every ten or so seconds, but the times varied.
I've tried thinking of and trying ways to recreate the sounds without me doing anything. The only way I can make it is with a coin in my hand.
Nothing more than that as far as poltergeist style activity. |

Tappings, bangings and knockings all come along with a poltergeist. But those also come along with a haunting as well. So it's hard to say. When I started having furniture moved thats when I questioned if we had a poltergeist. _________________ Founder
