Hi Heather,
As always, thanks for sharing! However, the first question that comes to mind is, what have you guys done to authenticate that massive amount of "ecto" photos? Also, what protocols do you guys follow when taking pictures?
Due to their density, the extraordinary amount of them and the fact that it appeared to be during the mid/late fall season, they scream "BREATH!" to me. Can you give me the date(s) and times that most of those cemetery photos were taken and the zip code of the location?

Aedryan, Interesting question, we have expermented with smoke and breath, smoke is obvious although we do not allow smoking while taking ghost pics. Breath on the other hand can be a little more difficult. we take a pictures when we get an EMF spike or a strong intuition. the way we try to authenticate breath or no breath is breath will linger for a moment, so we take multiple pics . If we get a few pics in a row with ecto we disregard it. Although I am sure that breath can explain a small percentage of our pics we try hard to debunk it.. actually the last video had mostly pics from may, june and july. Hilltop is an old cemetery on a hill that overlooks our town. its wooded and generally a creepy place . we also have an old indian Burial ground and an insane asylum that has recently been made into a few low rent rooms,a very wierd place. the zip code is 14816, we are happy to bring people along with us.
one point is we may take 200 pics over the course of a couple days before we even get one quality pic. we have pretty much ruled out 95% of orbs. might add we have got some EVPs but they are really hard to get and you must listen so carefully to the tape that i get a headache going thru it. |

| In regards to the old asylum, We are trying to gain access for ghost hunting. Its wild place,the halls are an old hospital with broken tiles and peeled paint, old hospital beds litter the halls, cob webs attached, in the basement are coffins left over , there are only a couple rooms rented. mostly drug addicts. everyone fears this old place . It is a place to treasure for a fearless ghost hunter. we hunted an old abanded house once. heard whooshing sounds no flashlight we went bare with only a camera. when we got home and downloaded the pics we where walking around with a big brown bat a 4 foot wing span. hense the whoosing sound. |

Good video work. I could not get thru first you tube video,, I also relate. Please if there is one that should be watched, (because of Images) let me know. I cant deal with sadness like that.

Heather,
Two important things you didn't mention about your group's protocols are, holding your breath before every picture or holding the camera out at arms length. The old general rule of thumb is 5 seconds before every pic, but I don't feel that's even long enough. Breath can show up in photos any time the temperature is 68 degrees or less. One of the biggest problems we've ran into is, even though we always hold our breath for a few seconds before every photo, it's impossible to keep track of when other investigators around you are breathing or which direction THEIR breath is blowing. During the winter we will even pull our shirts/jackets up over our nose and mouth AND hold our breath for a few seconds and we still get other investigator's breath in our photos....

| I can honestly say that we try to go on warm, clear nights. I am sure that we have some false photos which are breath, but we delete them when they are in question. The photos which we delight in getting are where we have an EMF reading. A lot of pics we get are off in the distance and usually surround a grave. That takes breath out of the equation. I will search through our archive to post more pictures. I will appreciate any input anyone wishes to make. Trust me, you will not make me defensive. |
