Hi Heather,
I would need the dates, times and zip code for when/where the pics were taken to really analyze them with any kind of accuracy....

Another thing to look at is the weather. Dew Point, Humidity all can cause breath.
One thing with breath is takes along time for it to disappear. You can hold your breath for 30 seconds and still get breath pictures. But it won't be as close. Here are couple examples;
This was taken 10 seconds after breath was released

30 Seconds after breath. You notice there is still alot present and can look like something paranormal

These are just examples.

But stone like cement holds heat. If sun was shining on it even during a cold day. It will heat up that stone. Then when the sun goes down and it cools off outside. It can release steam which can cause the effect you have on this picture.
Any surface will hold heat. Wood isn't as likely to so if you had same result off a wood headstone i would be more excited over that one.
I myself have quit using all photos as proof to something paranormal. I only use photos to document the location.
But this is just my theory.. |

Awesome comparison photos, Mel! The 30 second one just goes to show ya how deceiving breath can be! It actually looks like it's coming off the ground even.
Fog can be even more deceiving! It can literally roll in and out in just a second or two!
Good point about tombstone temps too, M. Tombstones always retain A LOT of heat! Add a little moisture in the air or some dew on a cool night and ya got steam.
