While in service of my country I had been sent to the sands of Kuwait to fight. While out with my unit we were surveying an encampment of enemy troops, under radio silence I hear a voice which says "get down!"
I search my fellow Marines at that time to see who said it. I used hand signals to see if anyone had broken radio silence, which no one had. Again in a louder more demanding tone I hear" Damnit Tiger get down"! I ducked down as soon as I heard it and then a bullet wizzed over the top of my head hitting the man infront of me! THere was too much going on at the time to understand what had just happened but the thought stuck in my head until we had returned to base camp. Only one person in my entire life had called me Tiger and that was my father who had been dead for 5 years at this point in time. I told this to my best friend and all he could tell me was that " I guess your Father did not think it was his sons time to go! He also stated that Love goes farther then the grave!
I guess I must agree although my father and I had not had a great relationship and we never expressed to each other the father son love thing.
THis was my first paranormal experience and the first and only time I have heard from my father since his passing. Guess this was his way of saying he loved me and that was also his way of saying he was watching out for me. |

Damn, brought me back to the whiz-crack sound of rounds passing close by....whew! Thanks for the memory jolt!
Very good experience. Usually on this forum we get peoples stories where they are confused or terrified, its nice to hear a good experience. Oh, and talk to you dad often...he can hear you. _________________ Frank Ratka
