My experiences with Tinkers creek

Okay, so before the recent events in my life, i never believed in ghosts or the likes. So when i was invited to tinkers creek cemetery, also called terra vista, i was skeptical.

The first few times I went, nothing happened, and i was very disapointed. We did the ouija board and everything, but nothing happened.

But the last two times I went, we used the ouija board to contact spirits.

Now if your familiar with Tinkers Creek, I'm sure you know that there is a gravestone with just the letters "A.M." on it, and it has brought up much controversy. Some say that it could be one of the "Mann's" who are buried very close, others just have no clue. But now I know exactly what it is.

If you look around, you will see the gravestone of Asaph Mann. "A.M." stands for Anna Marie, and is Asaph's daughter. How do I know this?

Well, Me and my friend matt have contacted A.M. and talked to her for hours. Heres my story.

A few nights ago, we went to the cemetery, and walked around, tried the ouija board on A.M's grave. To our surprise, it worked, and wonderfully. We talked to A.M. for a very long time, and in this conversations, Anna Marie told us a lot about herself. Heres some of the things she said.

This is how one of our sessions went when it was just me and my friend Matt. Now this isnt exact, just as well as i can recall it.

Us: Is anybody there?
Ouija: Yes
Us: What is your name?
Ouija: AM
Us: What does AM stand for?
Ouija: Anna Marie
Us: Are you an evil spirit, or a good one?
Ouija: Good spirit
Us: Is it okay if we ask you a little about yourself?
Ouija: Yes
Us: Where did you grow up?
Ouija: Terra Vista
Us: Where is that?
Ouija: Terra Vista
Us: Okay, did you have any brothers or sisters?
Ouija: I dont know
Us: Did you know your fathers name?
Ouija: Asaph Mann
Us: Do you know what your father did for an occupation?
Ouija: Rapist
Us: What?
Ouija: Well he is what you would call a Rapist.
Us: I dont understand Anna, what does that mean?
Ouija: Constructed Settlements
Us: Why did you say he was a rapist?
Ouija: No response...
Us: Were sorry anna, we didnt mean to offend you.

That was basically how it went for that time, but after that, she started going a little more in depth, actually, a lot more in depth.

She told us how she loves matt (the other person i was doing it with) and how she is in love with him. We asked her why, and she said because he helped me. he talks to me. So he was very weirded out about this. We kept asking it questions and all it would spit back was "I Love Matt". We asked it to make a noise for us, but all it said is that it needed help and that it would do it through matt.

That was getting into posession, and we didnt want to fuck with that.

Now we kept talking about her love for matt, and there was this girl chelsey and this girl connie there with us. Every time they would try and talk, anna would violently move the planchette to the word no. She would stop what she was doing, completely interupt their questions, and move the planchette to no. We asked her why she was doing this, and she said that she loved matt and thought that chelsey liked him.

After this, we said we had to go, but anna insisted that we stay. at one point, we said that we had to go, but anna just said "I will cry" and than we said good bye and left.

Now that was just one of the times we contacted Anna Marie.

After that, we were pretty eager to go back to the cemetery and talk to her again.

Heres the story of our next experience. But first a little flashback...

[flashback]My friends all went up to tinkers creek before without me, and they talked to A.M. They never got much information.

One time they were talking to someone called The Chef, and he said he was a chef at the conneaut hotel. During this time, they asked him to do something, and he stole matts keys. He couldnt find them anywhere. Than they asked him to put them somewhere, and they heard a clinking in the desk, and the chef told them to look there, and sure enough they were there.

That doesnt really have anything to do with this, but that same night, while at the cemetery, they all saw something in the woods, and started running very fast, and at the bottom of the hill, they all agreed how they felt something pushing on their backs, pushing them away from the cemetery. They asked A.M. about it, and she said it was Z.[/flashback]

Okay, theres the history you have to know for the most recent experience with the ouija board.

We were using it last night, and We got on and asked if anybody was there. The planchette just kept moving To the letter Z. We asked who was Z, and to our surprise, it spelled out asaph mann, Anna Maries father. Asaph seemed to be pretty angry at us, yelling at us, telling us to stop talking to anna. At one point, he even spelled out "fuck you asshole". We asked him to move something, and something ruffled over by the bookshelf.

After that bookshelf, we all got scared and stopped, because he was pretty angry with us. We looked over at the wall by the stairs, and on the wall, in the dirt there, was the impression of a face. It had never been there before, but after this happened, we saw it clear as day. It was scary as shit.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. While we were talking to Anna Marie, Matt got a very weird text message on his phone. It was from a contact listed as A.M., but he had never had that contact in there, and the message read "I Love You". That scared the shit out of him. We called the number back, and it was his voicemail. Anna Sent matt a text from his own phone, but there was no trace of that text being sent, and it said it was from "A.M." who was not in his contacts.

And than last night, we were watching the video from the cemetery, and in the video we asked Anna Marie to send matt another text message, and she said maybe later, and right as we were asking her on the video, while we were watching that part, Matt's phone rang, and it said new text message, but there wasnt one there. It was so creepy.

Ever since, Matt has been seing Anna in his dreams, and has had so much trouble sleeping, and he is just always looking tired because he is afraid to fall asleep.

This is one of the weirdest things that has ever happened to me, and has completely changed how i view ghosts and spirits in general. I never used to believe, but now i do.

Wow, that sounds like a Good O board experience (Aedryan why can't mine go like that??)
Hummmm i must say that i am still a little sketchy on the text message thing though Shocked

.....(sorry i just have doubts on ghosts being able to text you but it's just my thoughts)

As for your friend with the Ghost stalker (matt was it) you need to tell him that she needs to contact him, and he needs to listen. If she is haunting his dreams he needs to trust himself to be able to find out why. You need to tell him not to fear it, the more he fears it the worst she will try to make him listen to her. There is something between them, i don't think it's from this life i think they may have been somewhat involved in a past life, and she has found him again in this life.

I would like to hear more specially if you contact her again…..Also please let us know if your mate works out what she wants to tell him!

Heya Jacob and welcome to the forum! Thanks for sharing your story too! As you may or may not already know, Tinker's Creek is one of the SHGHRS' favorite places to do investigations. We've done two investigations there with varying results. We didn't have any luck with the Ouija Board up there when we did it, but some other things happened while (and after) we were using it that kinda makes ya go, "Hmmm....". Awesome Ouija Board story by the way, but the whole text message from A.M./"I Love You" thing?.... Are you 100% sure Matt isn't blowing smoke up your ass?

Welcome and Wow, J..., that's quite an experience. I'm not saying I don't believe you and all, but when i tinkered with the ouija way back when, we only got brief answers to our questions. Yes, or no.

Never indepth sentences. Never any information that specific. (the planchette flew off the board and hit the wall, though, and there was at least four different hands on it at the time--that was fucking freaky!) So i'm not saying that it didn't happen, but it is hard to swallow at the moment.

As for your buddy's lack of sleep. Tell him to take one Tylenol P.M. every night for four days and post me in the morning.

A person's mind can definitely play tricks on them when lack of sleep is involved. It can suck the energy right out of you, and you could easily misinterpret things going on around you. Plus, hanging out with a ouija in a cemetary in the middle of the night just might make it worse, and since he seems to be the 'target' of this experience from what you said, (YOu sure this isn't a prank?) that fact is only making things worse for him.

Now about that cemetary. Has there been a story circulating around about that particular tombstone in the past? Is that what made yall decide to do this experiment? Did anyone do any research on the history of the names before you went? Has there been any talk of paranormal activity at this cemetary in the past by the local news? You know--Ghost sightings, strange orbs in photographs(I bet aedryan hates to hear those words, lol) Documented in articles or newspapers. And have you tried to take any evps (oh wait this is aedryan's department, too, lol.) I've never taken one, but aedryan has a fascinating tutorial that's easy to follow. If you don't miss a sentence--inside joke.

Anyhoo--I think your friend needs to take a break, or yall at least need to stop bringing him with you since he's not in the best mental state at the moment. let your friend catch up on some much needed sleep. And then maybe try a different route. Maybe take evps, photographs, and use that gadget (I can see aedryan wincing at the use of that term--sorry, aedryan) that measures hot and cold spots. And do some research on the story behind the name on the tombstone.

O' Boards will spell out short phrases, but I don't recall ever having them spell out complex sentences, such as "Well, he is what you would call a rapist". In fact, once of the things that i've always found interesting is, the strange similarity between Ouija Board responses and EVP's. Complex sentences are pretty rare in EVP's too. Most of the time it will just be simple 1, 2 or 3 word phrases....

And yes, Jacob, I would highly recommend trying to record some EVP's during your Ouija Board sessions at Tinker's Creek. Check out our reports to see what happened when we did that up there! Shocked

Screw EMF meters and thermometers and all that poop though. They're a waste of time....

Oh! I wanted to tell you guys about something that happened to me during one of our visits to Tinker's Creek Cemetery. It is one of the very few, extremely strange personal experiences i've had during an investigation:

We had just gotten up the hill and into the cemetery and I had set all of my equipment down on the ground, off to one side of the cemetery (it was still daylight, by the way). Afterwards, all of us were just standing in the middle of the cemetery, talking and getting our plan of attack together, etc. Once we were ready to start setting everything up and get started, I walked over to get my equipment (by myself) from where I had laid it down and about halfway over there, "something" started stomping on the ground RIGHT beside me. I shit you not! It was literally like a person standing right beside me, stomping their feet as hard as they could about 5 or 6 times. Shocked

I even felt the vibrations from it. I quickly turned around and asked the others if they heard it and they all said no.

Definitely wierd....
