looking for similar experiences

Hello! I became a member of this site in hopes of finding someone who has experiences with spirits tbat are similar to mine. I saw my first "ghost" (that I can remember) when I was around 9 or 10 when we moved to a new house, and I have seen them and been visited by them on several instances since. The members of my family, particularly my dad and his mother, have always been "able" to see spirits and sense their presence. It almost seems, at times, that they have eyesight in a different dimension than most people, if that makes any sense.

Most recently, though, I have been visited by spirits in my dreams. They are not always people that I know, or people that I should know. The majority of the time they are random strangers, and they come to me to try to get a point across that they feel very strongly about. This first occured about 4 years ago, and the occurances continue to this day. Is this common? I've found other instances where loved ones have visted people in their dreams, but not strangers.

Anyway, this is supposed to be an introduction. I am 26/F/Married, with two beautiful baby boys. I just recently moved to Central Arkansas. I'm hoping to find some answers to my questions here, as well as learn a little more about ghosts the research that is being done in the paranormal field.

Hi Disenchanted and welcome to the forums!

It sounds like you are what is commonly referred to as a "Sensitive" in the paranormal community. It's practically an epidemic to be honest.... lol

As far as ghosts coming to people in their dreams, some people claim that it's possible, but there is just no way to possibly prove such a thing scientifically. I mean, how could anyone tell a ghost/spirit from a dream?

You just moved to Arkansas huh? There is an investigator who investigates with his teenage daughters who is relatively well known and he has some pretty well known psi friends. His name is Bryon and I will give you his website so you can contact him.

He is interested in ghosts but leans heavily to UFO phenomena but he has the contacts and he is a good guy. Here's his site:
