Increasing the dormancy of spirits

I do not feel I am in danger. I do not feel my child is either.I'd prefer he not play with it, but he does and it seems to be safe.
I don't necessarily want it to leave. I do not wish to sage because I don't feel I have the right to do that.I do wish to help it to act out less. You see, I know its there and I'm trying to do alright with that. But it seems to want my attention and, I'm sorry I am so ignorant, but I still cannot help getting occasionally creeped out.
I'm sure there's some crazies on here, but I'm just hoping for one legitimate answer. How can I increase dormancy?

Would like to hear whole story before we give oppinions. Just a couple questions. Most children have imaginary play friends, Are you feeding this?
You kow somethings their, What is it and have you tried to prove it? Why do you think (what ever) wants your attention?

Since I was younger I was receptive to things that perhaps others don't believe in. My husband purchased a house for us that has come with a little something extra.
I am not for certain what is going on for sure, because once I had a child I tried very hard to close off any communications,etc with anything not present physically. It is not meant to be disrespectful, but I just feel like I don't want my children to be receptive.I now thats wrong, but its true. I feel there are two different energies. ONe I believe is female,but again,I dont know why.
The basic run down is this.I have felt it/them strongly in the room with me.I have felt it watching, and sometimes, if it is acknowledged it will cease to feel as angry if that makes sense.At times the energy is so overwhelming. It literally feels as if it is rushing up you in this odd chaotic state. Things like cabinets and doors open.
This is going to sound odd, but when we first bought the house it was furnished. We put everything in a room until we could junk it. This seemed okay. I felt watched, but not terribly uncomfortable. I was pregnant at the time, and tried to attribute it to hormones. Id hang things on the walls, and they'd be placed on the floor when I'd return home. Keys,money,etc is always missing.
The chaos of the one energy gives me headaches. It seems to either cause or enhance negativity. It whizzes about and causes this strange metally smell. If I tell it to stop, it tends to. The second energy seems complacent. I'm tempted to say mournful, but I'm not sure why. It seems like its just there,ever watching. My son is young.I suspect interaction because it seems as though hes playing with someone sometimes, and its almost as if something pops into my head that says "this is okay". I am not terribly bothered by the one energy at all. It is the second one, the chaotic one, that really draws on my nerves. I feel like I must be going mad, but it seems to be after attention of sorts.I do not feel it is dangerous, but I do feel it is angry.I feel they are seperate and somehow unrelated.
I have considered trying to photograph things, but as weird as this sounds somehow it never works out.The batteries will drain, something will break. I always feel like Im not supposed to.
I think the chaotic energy/force/whatever wants my attention because if I address it, it seems to calm down. I dont converse with it or anything odd like that, I just inform it that Im not leaving,its obviously not and we have to live together can it give me a break.
I do not want to cleanse the house because I feel thatd be unfair possibly to the first energy,who seems especially protective of my son. I feel like I know her,or have known her somehow. But I have no idea anything more, and Ive never dealt with it until recently.The second energy has come with the house,and has gotten worse.I moved out of the house for a while,but my husband thinks this is all perfectly whatever.He approaches these matters like an adolescent.Its all "cool" for him and his drinking buddies, but I approach things as an overprotective mother if that makes sense.
Anyway, I am just looking to increase their dormancy, lessen their activity if possible.
I swear I am not one of these crazy paranormal state watching.ghostwishing.attentionseeking whackjobs.I was a working professional, and now a stayathomemother....

As OldCloud said, we would need to have some specific details about the experiences you have had, particularly details about what steps you have taken to debunk and/or authenticate each "ghostly" occurrence. Your mind seems pretty well made up already that you have ghosts, so i'm assuming you have already taken these steps? Please feel free to share the details with us, if you would like.

In regards to "cleansing" or "blessing" your home or casting "protection spells" or causing spirits to go dormant and things of the like, I don't personally believe in any of it. I feel that such religious tactics do nothing more than cause a psychological false sense of security against something, which may have not even been present to begin with. If you feel that such a thing would put your mind at ease, give it a shot. But, from a scientific/rational point of view, I personally think it's a bunch of mumbo jumbo....

These were my checks if you will...as Ive mentioned, I do not really want anything to do with this.
First I decided that the reason for our "cold room" was drafts.I had contractors out.We reinsulated. The darn room is still cold. I believed the house may be settling, and that was why the cabinets and such would open. The contractor who did my cabinets put magnetic presses in the corner so you literally must press to open them.They still open. I've had electricians out for the wiring, not because I necessarily know anything about wiring, but more or less because things seem to turn themselves off or jump.Short of a feeling deep within me, I really don't have a whole lot to go on.
I know this is not impressive stuff at all...and Im actually grateful for that.No crazy orbs or anything of that nature.Ive never had conversations with it or been beaten up (or even more than brushed by it).
I suppose I didnt do enough to debunk all the possibilities.I never sucessfully took pictures of it, and short of the corner of my eye,Ive never seen anything.
I don't believe that you can necessarily cleanse a house if the spirit is unwilling.But I just worry,you know?Worrying is my one thing I do best.I was just hoping for something that could ease the chaos.

Look i am no expert on the hole haunting thing as it really never happened to me....well not so much so i had to seek help...but at a stab in the dark, i do know within myself that the more you pay attentiom to it the more it will affect you.....sorry but i am looking at this like a nagging thing in the back of your mind thats telling you this is a ghost! As no one could ever really give you sold hardcore advice here...my best bet would be for you to start ignoring all that, if it's buggin you then maybe by taking it out of your mind it will have nothing to manipulate! just untill you can find answers! (sorry i hope that came across the way i wanted it too...i don't mean it in a bad way) i am just thinking of your wellbeing while all this is going on.....and for the sake of your little munchkin too!!

like i said i really hope that came across right.....i am not being rude or anything just concerned!

Believe me I kow that.But it turns out I'm not as strongwilled as I used to be.I have tried debunking everything as it happens, but then it gets to a point where its like, cmon already! I tried ignoring it, and that seemed to make it worse.
Like I said, I feel no immediate danger, but I find myself slightly irritated by the whole thing. I'm a private person.What I do in my own home is nobodys business. Wink

And that second issue is messy and loud. Its never banged on command or anything nifty and worth televising, but its not a large house.Cabinets flinging in one room is heard everywhere.

OK I have another odd occurence. My husband isnt home,hasnt been home. He was involved in an incident, a dangerous gas leak in the city. The news story was pulled up on my computer when I sat down.Noones been here all day. See its not scary things, just odd.

Now that I think of it, hes usually not, or if he is hes awake. (My husband and I have well issues...many of which,prior to this house, we didnt have.He is a drinker, and generally quite enraged.He likes to be out. Hed like me to be out too, but I cant. I work too much, too hard and have a baby and everything else to attend to).I wonder is this my fault maybe?Im generally frustrated but I keep it well undersurface..I think.)When he is home, hes generally watching tv or sleeping.He doesnt interact positively with anyone most of the time.Its not that hes a bad person, its just that he...
I dont know lacks the skills. He thinks all this devilish stuff (albeit generally in a pop culture skiddish way) is just the cats meow.My father is buried in a suposedly haunted cemetary near the infamous "Resurrection Mary". That to him is the greatest thing, but that cemetary I believe is the closest to legitimate hes ever seen, unless you count his infactuation with it televised or attempts to contact anything that will answer.
I cant think of anything else thatd help. I dont know if I mentioned this, but our computer here hibernate modes relatively quick.It also logs you out. When I walked in that room it was freshly pulled up,still on the screen.I dont know why that would be.
If I did something to set off the chaos I'm not sure. I sincerly hope not, but I dont know.Its believable that I might have. I've lost many relatives, although none around the time this started. Weve lost children, but also none around the time this started.
I will say the less time HE spends here, the less chaotic things feel. It doesnt seem to act out so much when he hasnt been about.That doesnt make any sense I know.
Another odd thing is that he has dared it, he has walked around announcing himself as the "god " of the house and demanding stupid things to see if it would. It wont act up then, but it will later. When I say act up thpugh, I don't mean its hurting anyone or stacking furniture or anything so extreme. It just makes its presence more clear.The satellite box will turn off, the cabinets will all open, the radio will start searching, just weird things.
I want to stress I do not feel danger. I do not currently practice witchcraft, although there are people in my family who have tendencies.I don't know what I could have done to cause this.
We do have cats.I don't think this really matters, but the energies affect the cats.
I am not sure I answered the question.Theres things in this post I should probably delete.

I think I forgot something that might be relevant. When I was 8 I had scarlet fever and was hospitalized two months. I technically died thrice. I am actually quite lucky to be alive.

In regards to your PC shutting down/going into sleep mode and your satellite box turning off, etc, there are a lot of reasonable explanations why those things could be happening. So, I wouldn't be too quick to attribute it to ghostly activity.

My surviving child is 8 months old.My sisters child who also stays with us is 3. Generally,we have 2 other kids daily a 5 and a 3.5 year old.In short,noone who can REACH the cabinets.

yes.The cats hate that half of the house.If you carry them into it they whine and whine.It might be too cold for them.

I thought about that. But I dont think so.If they are its damn elaborate.

they hiss at nothing like its something.Its weird.

In other words,one sided arguments.I wasnt raised to be combative back,no matter how combative someone is to me.We havent had physical violence since the youngest was born. He got really sick one day and he blamed me.He hasnt done it since.

The computer is just weird because it pulled up THAT story,KWIM?

The cabinet thing isnt like THEY ALL OPEN at one time usually or anything like that. And it isnt really that frequent.Id venture this isnt even that interesting of a whatever youd call this, because I tell you in seriousness noones ever got hurt,talked meaningfully with it, etc whatever is driving me so crazy.I suppose this is a moot point anyway.
