|
|
I am a skeptic and a believer at the same time. You would think that a person would have to be one or the other, right?
Well, the thing is that I believe what I see and hear. I would like to believe that ghosts are real, but the fact is that I never seen or heard any strange or unexplainable phenomenons my entire life so far.
The main question in this post is:
Why is it that ghosts always appear in other places?
They never appear in places I live, or in my friend's or relative's places, and if they are in my friend's and/or relative's places they never show themselves while I visit.
They are always appearing in places I will never visit, such as prisons, mansions in far away places, and other weird places.
Are there only some states and countries that have ghost reportings, or are they everywhere on the planet?
In other words are there dead spots where they will never appear?
Where is a place near me that I can visit, so I can be a believer too?
Leo from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. |

Welcome to the forum, Lear and great questions by the way. Though, they are very hard ones to answer. Mainly because there just aren't any definitive answers when it comes to ghosts. They say that most people will never see a ghost in their lifetime and if they do, it will most likely be a once in a lifetime thing. With the exception of photos, video and EVP's we have collected during our investigations and aside from a couple of orbs, I have only ever seen one thing with my own eyes that I feel there was a very good possibility was a ghost.

Though they say some states are more haunted than others (for various reasons), no, they are surely everywhere. It's just that some areas are more active than others. The types of areas the SHGHRS target for our investigations are usually areas that have a lot of tragedy surrounding them, such as, deaths, sorrow, murders, suicides, disasters, etc. Those are the kinds of places that are usually thought to have the most activity, due to the energies left behind. I can't fully attest to whether or not some of the places we investigate, which have more tragedy surrounding them are more active than those with less, but I can say they definitely seem to be more active than places we've been, which do not have any sort of tragic history, etc.

I would definitely have to say, Saint Augustine hands down! It's the oldest city in the United States and it is extremely rich in ghostly history. I would say it's probably in the top 10 most "reportedly" haunted places in the world.
If you are itching for a quick ghostly experience, I would suggest recording some audio. Chances are you will be able capture spirit voices right in your own home. It doesn't take anything fancy either. Any old tape recorder with an external microphone, placed away from the recorder will do! Just make sure you use brand new tapes in it. There have been very few investigations i've done, where I didn't come home with at least a couple EVP's.
Im sorry I don't have more definitive answers to your question, but if you do find someone that gives you definite answers, don't believe a word they say. And definitely don't believe anything you see or hear on these ghost shows on TV!
