I Need Advice Im Only 13

I AM SCAREDMOM'S 13 YEAR OLD SON AND WEVE LIVED HERE FOR 12 YEARS AND WEVE BEEN FINE UP UNTIL ABOUT A YEAR AGO WHICH WAS A LITTLE BIT AROUND THE TIME MY UNCLE DIED HE DIED LAST YEAR. ANYWAY AFEW MONTHS AGO WHEN ME AND MY FRIENDS WERE HAVING A SLEEPOVER MY FRIEND GOT UP TO GO TO THE BATHROOM AND HE SAW SOMONE WITH LONG HAIR WALK OUT OF THE BATHROOM (NO ONE HAS LONG HAIR IN OUR FAMILY MY UNCLE DID THOUGH) AND GO UPSTAIRS HE THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT AND TOLD MY MOM THE NEXT DAY SHE IGNORED IT UNTIL MY LITTLE BROTHER MATT WHO IS 7 TOLD MY MOM THAT ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO HE SAW GRAY PEOPLE WITH NO FACES WALKING AROUND OUTSIDE THE ROOM HE GOT SCARED AND SHUT HIS EYES WHEN HE OPENED THEM AGAIN THEY GRAY PEOPLE WERE STANDING IN FRONT OF HIS BED LOOKING AT HIM ONE VERY TALL ONE VERY SHORT HE JUST TOLD US IT HAPPENED BEFORE MY UNCLE DIED. BUT RECENTLY NOISES LIKE FOOTSTEPS ME AND MY MOM HAVE HEARD WHEN NO ONE IS THERE, WE ARE ALMOST SURE ONE OF THE GHOSTS IS MY UNCLE BECAUSE HE WAS A HUGE CUB FAN AND WHEN MY BROTHER WAS WATCHING THE SOX THEY HIT A HOMERUN AND THE TV TURNED OFF AND THE REMOTE FELL OF THE TABLE AND ALOT OF THIS HAPPENS DOWNSTAIRS WHERE HE WOULD STAY WHENEVER HE CAME OVER THE TV IS ALWAY TURNED TO BLANK CHANNELS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WE TRIE TO FIND THE REMOTE TO FIX THE TV ITS HIDDEN WEVE FOUND IT ONCE IN THE FRIDGE AND ONCE IN A CLOSET. THERE ARE COLD SPTOS AND I SLEEP IN THE BASEMENT ON WEEKENDS AND WHEN I WAS GETTING UP TO TURN THE TV OFF I HEARD SOMONE WHISPER MY NAME MORE THAN ONCE. WHEN WE HAD FRIENDS OVER THERE WAS TWO 8 YEAR OLD GIRLS OVER AT OUR HOUSE WITH THERE PARENTS AND THEY WERE HIDING IN A CLOSET TO AVOID GOING HOME AND THEY RAN OUT SCREAMING SAYING THEY HEARD WHAT THYE CALLED A MUCHKIN VOICE LMAO LIKE A LOW QUIET SQUEAKY VOICE. CABINETS OPEN AND CLOSE LIGHTS FLICKER AND MY MOM SAYS WHEN SHE IS HOME ALONE THE DOG GOES CRAZY AND IN THE SAME HALLWAY SHE SMELL COLOGNE WE WERE TAKING PICTURES OF ROOMS ONE DAY AND THERE IS AN ORB BUT IT MIGHT JUST BE A REFLECTION I WILL TRY TO POST IT THO...

Sorry about deleting my previous post..but I saw my kids had stumbled upon the site after I had been on..and I didn't want them to be scared..but its too late for that now...as you see above...

that is my son posting our story again..recently I have noticed our downstairs bathroom door locked probably 4 or 5 times in the last two weeks. You have to push the button in from the inside to lock it....

Like I said in my last posts..he is really interest in this and a little scared...

What we are wondering is..

Should you talk to the ghost? Do they every just go away??

Anyway, very interesting story. Thanks for sharing. The best advice I can give you, if you think you are experiencing ghost activity, is to first of all, do not let your imaginations run wild. ALWAYS take time to look for rational explanations when wierd things happen. Once all explainable causes have been ruled out, you may have something. From that point, the first thing you must remember is, there has never been any documented evidence of ghosts causing significant injuries to anyone (if any), so there is no reason to be scared.

Regardless of what psychics, sensitives, religious folks and other mystical types may tell you, there has never been any documented evidence of any type, which proves that "cleansing" or "exorcisms" or "protection" tactics work. It is my belief that there is no way to force spirits to leave any given location. As Frank will probably tell you though, there are some things you can try, which "may" make your home a less desirable dwelling for ghosts. You might want to read through some of the information you will find in the following article:

Who knows.... Maybe something will work for ya. If you do try any of these tactics, please do us a favor and keep us updated and let us know if any of them seem to be working.

If you truely are experiencing ghost activity, my advice would be to just accept it and start collecting some of your own evidence and carefully documenting it. Start keeping a detailed log of EVERYTHING strange that happens. Write down the exact times they happen and EVERY detail about the events you can possibly think of. Start taking tons of pictures throughout your house on a regular basis (ALL orb photos are dust!). If you have a camcorder, try setting it up in areas where most of the activity seems to happen. If you have an audio/tape recorder and an external microphone, try to capture some EVP's (and you WILL get some). Try asking the "ghosts" questions while you are recording. If you think it is the spirit of a relative, try directing some questions directly towards him. Just be extremely careful to control the environment while you are recording, by making sure no one else is talking or whispering and make sure all televisions and radios are off.

Above all, do not believe ANY of the nonsense all of these paranormal "experts" are claiming on any of the ghost shows on television ("TAPS"/"Ghost Hunters", "A Haunting", "Most Haunted", etc). Everything being shoved down the public's throats on these shows is nothing but a bunch of malarkey! Wink

You hit it on the head when you said before they will think everything is ghost activity!! I have started a journal and I did consider the tape recorder/camcorder idea..but I've also heard and/or read that you shouldn't contact them..that it might anger them?? I..myself have no problem sharing the house with a ghost..so long as its a friendly one..but I gotta admit I am really really curious as to who it is.

Aedryan - I was the one who experienced the TV's on the black channel with the remotes hidden..not my son..and I was also the one who heard the footsteps..and when I checked..no one was there....this thread was up before..but I deleted it to not scare my son (alot of help that did).....Frank did give me some input as well....

Well we are still having our strange happenings...our ghost has a thing for Tv remotes and is suddenly locking our downstairs bathroom door. Still hearing footsteps on the stairs..and I have been taking pictures around the house, though I haven't seen anything in them on my camera. Do they have to be developed to actually see something???

As Aedryan has stated be prepared to review countless photos. Heh. My last investigation had me looked through two hundred pictures. Going to negative and back to normal. Putting in zoom and pulling out zoom. I've actually analyzed every square inch of every picture i've ever taken.

It would help to know what type of camera you're using. If it's a digital. let us know make and model.... mm type.

I use a Minolta DiMAGE Z1

I also use a 35 mm Camera on a tripod. The 35 mm camera has a half a minute shutter speed. So that would take 30 seconds to take the whole picture. Thus capturing more on film. And if you are using a 35 mm please state to the developer that you want the photos developed as is. Because if you don't develope the photos as is any thing 'wrong' to the developers eyes will be editted as best he can. or the photo will just be discarded.

Just a caveat: You have to be careful w slow shutter speeds. The slower the speed the more likely you are to get an exaggerated or oddly blurred pic. Especially with any movement in the room (someone walking around or whatever). At 30-sec speeds you can create all sorts of "apparitions", "rods" and other false captures due to the resulting camera shake.

A stable tripod is a must too since any slight movement of the cam or the hand (and I mean very slight) can easily result in what looks like an apparition or "rod" or something.

Yes, you mentioned the tripod. I said stable tripod (and oh yeah, a sturdy one too).

Greater point was: Have to be careful in general, (tips I mentioned), especially: minding movements in the room.

And not everyone understands that slight motion (which you can still get w/a tripod), can render something that looks like a space ship zipping through the room Laughing

I rarley ever use it. I am mostly using the digital. The only time i use the film camera is when I am taking a picture with landscape type shots. or with a long hallway. Or in the case of my last investigation I used it to take a picture of a folding chair that was set up in one of the unused bathrooms in the school that was set up a few years ago around the time when the spirit we were investigating died.
