Ever since I started playing guitar at age 12, one of my dreams has always been to attend the renowned "GIT". Well, at age 35 it's finally going to happen! In February or March I will be relocating to Hollywood, CA to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology program at Musician's Institute, which begins on April 4th. I will be eating, breathing and shitting music for 18 months, while attending seminars and clinics by world-famous guitarists and obtaining my Associate Of Arts In Performance, under the instruction of some of the world's most highly qualified guitar instructors.
I will also continue performing as a professional magician/illusionist and who knows what else I may end up pursuing in the entertainment capital of the world. I will also continue my study of ghosts, spirits and the after life by forming a California branch of the Strange Happenings Ghost And Hauntings Research Society. I am in great hopes that Ghost Hunter Matt and James will continue on with our work here in this area with a Pennsylvania branch.
I've also had a few books (ghost and music related) on the back burner for awhile that I plan on writing sometime in the future and who knows, maybe I will open some sort of private school someday.
Hmm.... "The Methyus School Of Metal, Magick And The Dead".... What do ya think? >8>|
So, what won't I be doing? Moving back to "Dreary Erie".... EVER! However, if things aren't working out in Los Angeles (or possibly Las Vegas) by the time i'm finished with school, our plan is to move back to the east coast though - Possibly Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New Jersey or Cleveland.
Yours In All Things Spooky, Loud & Mysterious,
Aedryan
PS Kinda strange how you were just talking about how you're moving and I was whinning about how bad I wanted out of here, eh Frankster? _________________

No shit! Damn, I am happy for you. Have you ever been on the West coast? It's a different world out there! It's a pretty place to live but the people out there got on my nerves a lot. But if you can stand the constant drone of human beings whining you will make it.
Good luck and keep in touch...will you still be checking in on the site, shutting down or someone else from your group taking it over? _________________ Frank Ratka

Yeah, i've lived in Phoenix 3 different times and I hated it (obviously). And you're right, the people suck out west. They're a bunch of rude, snooty assholes, but i'll take them over all the small minded simpletons in this area ANY day! I just turned 35 years old (and i'm not accepting it well at all), so it's time to either try and do something meaningful with my talents or hang it up and just become a "normal" 9 - 5 person. I'm tired of having to travel hundreds and thousands of miles all the time to make any money performing magic and there not being any serious musicians in this area to play with.
Anyway, nothing will change as far as the website goes. I will probably put another SHGHRS group together out there in time, but it's not going to be at the top of my list of priorities. If Matt and James are able to find a new member that could handle writing all of their reports and prepare evidence/submit in SHGHRS fashion, they are welcome to continue on with a Pennsylvania branch, but I doubt they'll do that....
I just wish I could have enrolled in the September classes at Musician's Institute. It sucks that I have to wait until February or March to get out of here (classes will start in April)!

We will never be considered normal no matter what we do. I'm 9 to 5, well 7 to 4 anyway and I am by no means normal. That is if normal is defined by being concerned with who bought what in hollywood or what the latest juicy gossip is...well not me. I'm more concerned with truths in our universe, life and death, you know menial shit like that. _________________ Frank Ratka
