The anomalies shown in the following two photographs are what a lot of paranormal investigators traditionally refer to as vortices:

Personally, I think anomalies of this type are just orbs in motion that are captured very close to the camera lens. However, most "vortex" photos you will find on the internet are nothing more than people's camera straps or hair getting in front of the camera lens and the flash reflecting off of it.
Here is a link to a photo that a fellow ghost hunter friend of mine captured at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery:
Chestnut Grove Cemetery Vortex?
This is the only anomaly like this I have ever seen and I really have no clue what it is, but it puts me more in mind of what I would visualize a vortex to look like than the two anomalies shown above.

yes its a natural swirling motion of pure energy being transfered from sky to earth similar to ball lightning and is easily dismissed as a ghostly form
EDIT: i agree i can be a fast mvoing orb |

Those photos were captured by Ghost Tracker. I have seen very few (if any) compelling "vortex" photos.

Same here, I only have one that I can't explain away. It was shot with a 35mm in the mid 90's with a standard frame pentax 35mm (all manual) camera. I will have to dig it up and post it so you can take a look. _________________ Frank Ratka

What do you make of the Chestnut Grove Cemetery "Vortex" photo, Frank?
