Hi! I'm new here. I've never been able to see/hear things on a regular basis. But I will tell you about my only ghosty experience.
So, this summer (June-July 2006) I was staying at a friend's house for the week. His parents, brother and sister were gone for the week so him and his girlfriend invited me over.
This one evening we were watching a movie in the living room. Me and his girlfriend were talking about the movie when suddently he told us to keep quiet. We listen for a minute but heard nothing. He said he was sure he heard someone open the front door and trying to walk without being heard. At first we thought there was a thief in the house. Since they both were confy on the couch, i decided to take a look myself. I took a small tour but found nothing. In the kitchen/dining room, there's two stairs. One to go in the basement and one to go upstairs (bedrooms). While on first floor, you have to walk a little corridor then go down the stairs to the kitchen then go by the kitchen to get to the living room. While in the kitchen, I heard a little girl giggling, like if she was trying not to laugh too loud as if she was hiding. At this moment, my friend had come to me to see if i was alright. I told him i heard someone upstairs but we looked and found nothing. At this moment, his girlfriend had gone up too and was investigating with us.
We then sat in the kitchen to talk about it. We had sitted for only a minute when me and his girldfriend heard a crash uptairs. We all went up to the bedrooms but found nothing.
So we sat again at the kitchen table. Again, after only a minute I heard someone going down or up one of the two stairs (I couldn't tell which one). It was as if the person was running in the stairs. We looked EVERYWHERE in the house but found nothing.
Finally, we sat (again ? yeah we like the kitchen) in the kitchen but nothing happened. I told my friend as a joke "Well... looks like your house is haunted". He looked straigth at me and said "That would explain A LOT of things" He explained to me that a lot of things disapear in his house. (But then I would say it's because of its bad house keeping lol. )
Some noise we heard could have been explained since there's a lot of natural noises in the house (air-condition, freezer, air-moister (don't know real english term... it's a machine that keeps a good % of moisture in the air). Plus, he lives near St-Laurence River so when the boats pass by, the house shakes a bit 'cause of the noise they make) But what we heard couldn't be explained by any of the natural noises.
I "lived" there for two weeks with them but never experienced something else. Too bad
We've never tried to contact the entity or whatever. We didn't assumed it was our imagination either. We just didn't pay attention to it any more. We had a movie to watch lol!
Well, hope you enjoyed my first post. |

Thanks of the story. Maybe the little girl was attached to your friends girlfriend since she would probably be the person over there the least when you are there. Oh and that machine that keeps moisture in the air is a humidifier. _________________ Frank Ratka

Thanks
Hmmm.... I don't think she was attached to my friend's girlfriend... She's there more often than me... Maybe she was just bored this one night lol. We didn't feel anything evil or threatening from the entity. I think she just wanted to play.
Strangely enough, this is the first manifestation my friend had in his house.
So I guess he has a very shy ghost |

That is why I don't think the house is haunted. Instead it may be one of you. Or maybe just a transient spirit looking for company. _________________ Frank Ratka
