Hey everyone,
Just joined the site to try and find a few like-minded people. I'll tell you a little about myself.
I'm 17, male and from the south of england, I've only just started ghost-hunting in the last few weeks but already I've got loads of results, EVP, photos and a lot of weird feelings.
I've been interested in the paranormal since I was a little kid but it's only now that I've got to grips with a bit of investigation, I've teamed up with two 'psychics' from my college, to be honest I still have my doubts about the psychic thing, but hearing a spirit guide trying tot alk through an EVP recording is pretty convincing I guess.
Well that's about it I guess.

Welcome, Jay! Must be lots of cool, spooky places to investigate over there in England, eh? I'm with you on the whole psychic thing. Please be sure to keep us posted if your psychics manage to validate any of their claims, etc!

Hey,
Yeah the psychic thing doesn't allways check out with me, they're on TV too much but from who I've been talking to they've told me a lot about the spirit world, how it works and all the stuff about guides and things, I had a girl take my hand and tell me all about my personality and feelings from when I was 12, and I'd only just met her, that was kinda interesting lol

On two occassions we had people, who claim to be psychic with us during investigations and all they did was annoy the hell out of us. They were jumping out of their skin at every little noise and shadow and they kept telling us where to take pictures and this or that would supposedly show up in the photo. Needless to say there wasn't anything in any of the photos....

It never ceases to amaze me how psychics always seem to already have all the answers about ghosts and the afterlife. If they see/hear/talk to dead people as often as they claim to and all of their other claims were legit, don't you think it would be really simple for a group to setup all of their equipment in some "morbidly haunted" location with the psychic and validate SOMETHING/ANYTHING they say with scientific evidence? I mean, psychics let on like dead people talk to them them just like you or I would and give them all of this information, etc. Yet, the majority of EVP's we capture only consist of a single/couple/few faint words or whispers most of the time, of which very few even seem to be direct communication?
If I were you, I would be putting your psychics to the test and documenting them in controlled environments. I would love to do such a study, but i'm still waiting for any psychic to step up and accept my challenge....

| Yeah I agree, I'd love to put all that to the test but the 2 'psychics' I know have had a lot of trouble with friends of theirs ditching them after they try and talking about their gift, and I don't want ot come off as insensitive by asking to test it all for proof, I dunno, it seems too many people care about others opinions when it comes to this kinda stuff, it's sad really. |

Hello,
I do believe there are psychics out there that are the real deal that they do have a gift, but i also think that there are alot a fakes as well...I haven't ever been to one so i am actually going to see one next week  ....so got any tips you can give me or can some one give me any advice as to what i should expect from her??

| Well, from what I've experienced, I'd say to expect a lot of vague predictions or statements about yourself, and also a lot of 'it'll happen when it happens' kind of talk, apparantly the spirit world can tell you what's going to happen but not when, and that gets kind of annoying if you ask a lot of questions. But other than that it's still pretty cool, I reckon you'll enjoy it. |

Em,
I would recommend not giving the psychic your name, address, phone number or any other personal information prior to your "reading". It is the information age and it is nothing, but a thing to learn all kinds of stuff about a person with something as simple as a phone number. Also, I would remain totally expressionless and don't offer any information or feedback at all whatsoever during the reading.
And lastly.... Just give me the money instead and i'll give you a reading!
