Ehh.... It's just that all we ever get are "trolls" here (people who scavenge info and never post or anything, etc). Even back before we moved the forum we never really ever had more than maybe 5 regular posters at any given time.
I've got a lot of things going on in my life at the moment, so even I don't put as much time into the forum (or even ghost hunting) as I used to. About all I do here anymore is ward off spambots and try to answer the occassional questions....
After I get moved down to Pittsburgh and get all settled in, I will be getting into ITC though, which should make for some interesting discussions. In the meantime, someone please feel free to start a damn topic and I will be happy to chime in! LOL!

lol frank i knew that was coming and i always manage to piss people off when i say this but here we go any way my personal definition of a redneck is an
extreme lack of sophistication and having a yard full of crap like cars and refrigerators and just absolute garbage disgusting in my opinion but i am a neat freak
i live in the adirondack mountains and it seems
that you don't fit in here unless you have an IQof 2
and have atleast 12 cars in your yard reminds me of west virginia in some aspects. don't get me wrong
just because someone has a car or two hanging around
doesnt mean they are a redneck but when the D.EC.
comes knocking on your door because of all the stuff you have in your yard somthing just is not right as far
as i can tell that also has happened to at least six people that i know of around here in the last six months . |

Oh, we call those people trailer park trash (It doesn't include everyone who lives in a trailer, so pull the panties out Aedryan). The southern definiton of redneck is not unlike your (Jeff Foxworthy-esk definition) but has a little more respect too it. The original meaning deals with the red color of the neck from working in the hot sun farming all day. Today it has been transferred to most of those manuel labor jobs that blue-collar people work.
Being a redneck is not considered a complete negative down here. Being trailer park trash is though! No offense taken either. I'm not a redneck or trailer park. I am edumacated and work in my office and A/C all day. 8) _________________ Frank Ratka

lol frank i used to live in north carolina man that state is full of trailer trash but as i used to set up trailers i am wary of refering to people as trailer trash
i wonder since i used to set them up am i tailer trash?
i dunno maybe scumbag is a better referal to what i
am talking about i would surely never speak negativly about the american farmers as i was raised on a dairy farm in ohio and people do not realize what kind of hard work and dedication if not just out right passion
it takes to make a farm work. i sincerely think the american farmer is the least appreciated and most essential role in this country very very sad if you ask me . sorry for taking this way off topic . |

People can say whatever they want about trailers. I hate them too! BUT, mine happens to be totally remodeled from front to back with brand new everything, i've got a great big patio and it's located in one of the most desirable areas of the city. Above all, I own it free and clear, which beats the hell out of handing all of our money over to a slumlord to rent some dump in the central city and having absolutely nothing to show for it. Instead, I will have well more than a huge down payment to put on a real house after this place sells. I can't wait until it's sold and we own a real house in a real city with real people! I would never buy another trailer as long as I live!

I lived in a trailer for about 6 months when I was 7 or 8 years old. We were waiting for our house to be built next door. That was in the 70's though and trailers were an entirely different animal then. I have no love for them at all though.
My wife is from Charlotte, NC.... well she is originally from Norway. I have spent a lot of time in that state. They have there own brand of southern trash there.
Disclaimer: before someone reads this damn post and thinks I'm call'n all southerners trash....well...fuck off, cause I'm not! _________________ Frank Ratka

Yeah, there's something about bang'n them southern girls that tend to piss off dads. Especially when you get caught in mom and dad's bed or in their shower. That was funny! The look on her mom's face...hehe good times! But that was a long time ago. Let's see... almost twenty years ago. Good, God how time flies!
I hope I never lose my memories!
I guess I really shouldn't lump them in as "southern" girls. Instead I would say "country" girls. Big city girls are the same everywhere. I was raised on a farm too and the only thing to do besides work is drink and fuck. Why do you think there are so many young mothers in small towns?
I sure am glad this is the off topic forum! lol _________________ Frank Ratka
