Hi,
you might have read my story at "real ghost stories" forum here. If you haven't heres a lowdown. Evil spirit in the attic that likes to scare the crap out of me!!
I just recently moved out of the house but live next door to the house that I moved out of.
I heard a rumor about how ghosts will travel with you and I hope this isnt the case. Is it real?? Cause I dont know!
Also,
I want to get rid of this thing once and for all.....
I need help in figuring out how to do that
THANK YOU SSSOO MUCH!!! _________________ <3 ya,

The reality is that if your old house's attic is haunted the likelyhood of the entity being evil is slim to none. When someone who is not used to their tactics becomes the focus of contact attempts, it can be very scary. Your fear and even terror is your reaction and you cannot blame a ghost for your ignorance.
Can ghosts follow you? Short answer, yes but the reasons are usually personal and sooner or later you will find out who it is.
Can you get rid of a ghost? In my technical opinion, NO! I have been investigating ghosts and the phenomena surrounding their hauntings for over a decade and I have never seen a "cleansing" work. I have heard a whole lot of talk and bragging but I have never seen it work. These entities are not subject to your authority and do not have to do what you want or say. Remember to treat them with the same respect you would to any person you meet on the street. _________________ Frank Ratka

First: Falloutboy, not sure how to help you, but I do wish you the best in dealing with your situation.

Question for you F: So in your opinion, would this mean Falloutboy or someone in his position shouldn't even bother w/ getting a "cleansing"? It does strike me that if there were really a ghost occuping space, sage burning or holy water might be about as likely to work as burning sage near or squirting holy water on a despised live mother-in-law
But then again I wonder if cleansing could still be worth trying, just in case the dead person is religious and has some awareness they're dead ... and they get guilt-tripped into leaving the house by some priest holding a cross up and telling them to leave the poor, scared family in peace. |

My basic rule is, if it makes you feel comfortable and safe then what's the harm!? My own personal opinion and how I weigh in on the matter is what I stated above.
Should he bother...why not if it makes him feel better. It is amazing what the human mind can block out with a few switches thrown in the psyche. _________________ Frank Ratka
