This isn't all that scary, and prolly not even ghostly, but it was kinda cool anyway...My parents and I went to one of our local churches (called "Christ Church") while taking my aunts & uncles sight seeing. The church is on an island off the coast of Georgia, and was built in 1820. During the civil war, the church was nearly destroyed. It was rebuilt in 1889, by Anson Philip Dodge. (He's dead now. lol...) The whole island is rumored to be haunted, (and I KNOW it is!) Some of the very first settlers called it home, (there were indians here as well) and a battle between the Spainiards and the English took place here, called "The Battle Of Bloody Marsh." It is said on moonlit nights, when the time is right, you can still hear the soldier's cannons and the marsh runs red with blood...Ok, so I've never experienced that myself, but this happened...
Christ Church is very close to there, and is rumored to have a great number of spooks itself. I'll post them here when I get time, but for now, I'll tell you about "the light"...
We toured the cemetery, reading all the graves and admiring the landscape. (Huge oak trees, with spanish moss hanging down, lovely church with stained glass windows-just beautiful) Some of the head stones were so old we could barely make out the words on them. It began to get dark, which made them even harder to read, so we decided to go. (We were getting hungry anyway.)
We all made our way to the little gazebo out front, and stood under it chatting about where we should go eat, and watching the moths and misquitos flutter under the gazebo light. We finally decided on seafood, and were about to leave. Everyone walked out single file, and my mother and I stood last in line. Once everyone was out, my mom turned around to face the church, and said "Good night church." The gazebo light then went out, leaving us all in total darkness, as if to tell us "Good night" back.
Just thought that was kinda cool...

P.S.>Sorry about the line through the picture. Scanner defect, I suspect...Though the church has been remodled on the inside to make room for more members, the outside still looks the same as it did in 1889. The cemetery is in the back, and there's hundreds of graves.-some of them centuries old. _________________ "I don't FEEL tardy"... |

Wow, Gorgeous structure! It would be cool to have a house that looks like that.

Yeah, it's a beautiful church, (on the inside as well) but there sure are a lot of rumors of some really straaaange stuff going on there, and on the surrounding roads too. I don't know if any of them are true, but I know that place definitely has an eerie feeling at night. (Not that it means anything more than I get creeped out in grave yards at night) but like I said, there's LOTS of rumors about it.

Maybe we should pay them a visit and summon Satan to chase them all out of there, so we can buy it! LOL
We'll call it "Church Of The Dead"!

I'm sure you have a few illusions that can convince them of that. LOL _________________ Frank Ratka
