Ghost's all around a few example of my experiences

I am a 17 year old girl and have always been able to see and contact people have have passed. But since my grandma died (3 years ago) my gift has become somewhat stronger. Which leads me the question did she know i had the gift, did she have the gift herself and also is she my protector?
My first strong experience was when i was very little i lived in an old bungalow (excuse the spelling) with my mum dad brother and sister. I would often see "father christmas2 walking around the house. As i was a young child the first thing i could associate this strange elderly man with a beard was farther christmas. The story behind the house is that the man who lived there before us had killed himself in the garage.
The room in which me and my sister stayed was his old bedroom and a regulaur hotspot for activity. My mother bought up in a strict religious family did not believe in ghost's but after a knife and wedding photo which had been slashed was found in my and my sister's bedroom. My mother knew someone who knew the previous occupant of the house, she took the photo to her friend and was very worried to find out that it was infact the daughter of the occupant of the house. The story behing th photo was that he was very angry when his daughter married as he has forbidden her to marry the man of her choice and after the marraige they did not speak another complicaton leading to his suicide.
Even after living in this house i refused to believe that i could possibly contact ghost's this was until me and my brother had an experience. We often went on holiday to a forest which is known for people taking their lives as it was a peaceful place to take it al away and also many wars had been held there. We werewalking in the forest when we both saw a shadow of a man in uniform running across the small opening infront ofus. At first we oth commented it was someone mucking around. We wernt to look here he had run to and found nothing there. It was an area of thick fern's and none of them had bee trodden done. After this we both opened up about experiences we had had and how they'd got stronger since our grandmother's death.
This brings and intresting question to my mind! Is it possible our gift has been passed trough the generations of our family???
