Ghost story of a girls voice

I'm not sure if this classifies as a ghost story but i don't know any other way to put it. so here it goes.

I was sitting in my living room playing on the game system one night it must have been between 2am-3am and it was in the middle of summer when i heard a young girls voice from the kitchen, I'm gonna say teenage years and she called out my name "JP" well i thought it was just my imagination, and went back playing my game when all of a sudden I heard the voice again but a lil bit louder "JP" I again looked out into the kitchen but noboday was there. And everyone was sleeping in the house and they had to come through the living room to get to the kitchen. I figured it was my imagination and went back to my game once again. As soon as I went back to my game, I heard the girls voice again but a bit louder once again "JP" I then answered the mysterious voice "What?" As soon as I said that the mysterious voice once again says "JP" and I said "What?" and then again "JP" I then got up and walked out into the kitchen and looked around but nothing was there I looked out the window's but nobody was around that i could see. I then went back to my game and never heard it again.
Then next morning I told my family and they thought i was crazy until a couple days later when i came home my girlfriend said you want to hear a strange story and i'm like what and she said I was sitting here at the kitchen table a couple hours ago figuring up math in my head when i heard a young girls voice right behind me in my ear saying "Yea that's right"

What do you guys make of this story? To this day i cannot explain it.

I have other ghost stories that i will share with you all in the days to come if you like.

Eeks! That's pretty wild.... Are you absolutely certain that it wasn't someone in your family messin' with ya?

Yea b/c i thought it was that too just my family messing with me but the only way into the kitchen is through the living room where i was and nobody walked through, and when i confronted everyone about it they were looked at me like i'm outta my mind. But i was still skeptical until a couple day's later when my girlfriend said it happened to her and i did'nt even tell her that story b4 that.

Humm thats kind freaky.... Shocked

But i do wanna say thats sometimes when you get really tired we hear things that aren't really there....humm i will explain the other night i stayed up really late watching movies and i went into my kitchen and turned the dishwasher on, i went back into my lounge room to watch the end of the movie. When it finished and the Tv screen went blank and no sound i swear to god i could hear a girl singing it was crazy i sat there for a min as i tried to work out where the noise was coming from, and i must say i was starting to freak out i knew my daughter was asleep and i know she can't sing like what i was hearing she is 3, so anyway i finally got the gut's to get up and investigate when as soon as i walked towarrds the kitchen the singing sound got louder, so then i pushed the kitchen doors and NOTHING the noise was coming from the dishwasher....LOL i know it might not be the case but just trying to give the other side of the fence, that and when your body needs sleep sometimes it shows in different ways!! Laughing
