Heya Doughnuts,
Thanks for sharing! Could you give us the times, dates and zip codes to where the photos were captured?

How come you circled the faintest "orbs" and not some of the more obvious? Just wondering? What sets them apart by your definitions? _________________ Frank Ratka

| the date of these pic was 11/14, and it was about 10 or so at night, and im not sure the exact zip code but its about a 5 min drive from my house and i live in 15068. and the reason i circled where i did was because the top one i just tried to circle what i thought was eyes, and the middle one i thought there might have been eyes and after i enhanced it a little bit i saw there wasnt but i had accidentaly deleted the original so i only had the one with the circled on there. |

Thanks, Doughnuts!
Glad to see a homeboy, dropping in by the way.... lol I am moving to Pittsburgh soon (can't wait!).
Anyway, in regards to your photos, here are the things we need to consider:
Location: New Kensington/Pittsburgh, PA
Date: 11/14/06
Time: 9:53 PM
Temperature: 42.1 °F
Dewpoint: 37.9 °F
Humidity: 85%
The Weather Archives For Your Area show that the humidity was high pretty much all day on 11/14/06, reaching all the way up to 96%. The humidity was only around 85% at 9:53 pm, but that can fluctuate a pretty great deal. The temperature seemed to remain above the dewpoint, but the average humidity for the day was 94%, so there was clearly a lot of humidity this day. The weather archives also show that there were some events of fog.
So unfortunately, based on this information, I would have to say there is a very good possibility that the "ecto" in these photos is actually fog. It could even be breath. We have found that it is nearly impossible to prevent investigator's breath from being photographed this time of year, because even though we hold our breath for a few seconds before we take each picture, chances are someone else who is not taking a picture is breathing freely. Add some high humidity and a little bit of wind and a person's breath can linger and blow around all over the place.
Be sure to read the following article to learn more about ecto and fog:
A Study Of The Ghostly Mist
The "orbs".... Moisture, dust or both.... Be sure to read the following article and draw your own conclusion....
All Orb Photos Are False Possitives
Thanks again for sharing and please keep us posted on anymore findings in the future!

| i was mistaken, it wasnt the 14th it was the 17th. i knew it was the friday before thanksgiving and i thought that was the 14th, but i went and checked and it was actualy the 17th. and im not so sure about the fog theory because it was indoors, with not open windows or doors exepct for a few panes of glass broken. and by no means am i a meteorologist, but can fog form indoors? and i dont think it was anbodys breath because everyone was standing behind me, no one to the side, there was no one infront of the camera, except for the one picture, and there was no wind or breeze so could someones breath have gone out in front of the camera? |

I wish pic.s weren't so easy to disqualify. I bet there are a few genuine paranormal pic.s out there (maybe even this) that will never get their day in the sun.
Unfortunately it's super easy to rule in many other mundane, alternative possibilities.
And God help you if you capture a genuine entity that looks really clear and defined ... then you must be a sheister. |

Doughnuts,
The humidity ranged from 65% - 93% on 11/17/06. Overall, the humidity seemed to remain pretty low and the archive does not state that there were any events of fog. There was rain however. Additionally, the temperature never dropped below the dewpoint.
If these photos were indeed taken on November 17th, you could POSSIBLY have something here. There is still however, the possibility of breath. It's just impossible to say for sure either way (as with pretty much all things paranormal). Especially outdoors and even more especially this time of year in our area.

Next time you go take some digital voice footage and take some temp readings. Also take a bleedin' camcorder with you. Not that a bloody camera would be good. A normal non bloody safe camera with an external light or Night vision would be perfect. And take as many pictures as you can. What i've learned from SH is. Take pictures over your shoulder and also take photos in directions you aren't looking. _________________ Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. |

and for crying out loud save your original photos. lol not to be rude or anything just trying to help out. I made that same mistake my first time and the program i used to outline the apparition distorted the image so bad that the apparition was impossible to see. _________________ Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. |
