There is a somewhat funny story about this picture.
This lady seen speaking on the platform with the little girl next to her helps run Ghost Tours of Galveston. She was running this tour a couple months ago.

Anyway, we had dinner with her at Cafe LeCroy on the strand before this tour and she was so full of shit. She went on and on about being a psychic and she has this gift (able to see, feel and talk to spirits), wants to save the world, butterflies, fairy's, yadda-yadda.... Anyway, this girls ego rivals any man's I have ever met, it was kind of sad really. Everyone knew she was full of shit except for her.

Okay, dinner is done, we all met at the RR museum down the street to begin the tour. We get halfway through the tour and we are at the building shown in the photo. She is relaying the history of the building (to her credit she knew her history) and mentioned the different spirits seen in this building. At the same time, one of my members and myself saw movement on the upper floor balcony. I quietly told her to take a few photos. Our team medium said there was a ghost around the tourguide so I asked her (the psychic tourguide) if she felt anyone around her now? She commented that she doesn't right now. Our team medium just laughed (aloud) and walked off. The tour was over for us!

Granted this was an event put on by another team in our area and not all groups do things the same way. But I was severely disappointed with this groups investigators. The smoked while taking pictures, spouted old myth and speculation about how ghosts operate and what is thought about their activity and so on. I was disgusted! And people always wonder why I bring my own teammates to these events.... We made the best of it and explored a few other sites in the area instead of completing the tour.

Hey Frank,
Sorry to hear this tour didn't go so well....Why would they let people smoke? Was this in a building? Usually they will ask that all smokers have to extinguish their cigarettes...Was just wondering...

They didn't on this one. No, the tour was mostly outside but we can still smoke in buildings in some town and cities. It depends on the local governments.

Besides the 10$ it cost for the tour I didn't lose anything by attending.

I'm thinking that a possible explanation could be attributed to a photographic anomaly? Maybe something to do with the light and smoke?

Well even if your outside...trying to get a good pic while smoking would be impossible...I've been on a couple ghost tours that were just 'full of shit" but they always made me extinguish my cig before proceeding...sometimes I get pissed because of all the no smoking...sometimes they treat ya like a criminal but hey I understand that some people "for health reasons" shouldn't be around smoke...what I don't understand is why they even have smoking sections in a restaurant... Laughing

I mean I can be sitting there in a no smoking section and two tables down is a non-smoking section??????What's the point... Rolling Eyes

I'm waiting for them to make smoking a crime so when you blow smoke in someones direction they can call it attempted murder. Hell, I live in Houston (refinery city)...the air you breath through a cigarette filter is cleaner than if you breath the clear air. LOL

The orb in the photo is the real deal. There were several that were crap but not caused by the smoking. What peeved me was the investigators who were smoking while taking pics and then claimed ecto later and posted them on their website.

Whenever we do an investigation we set a smoking area and take regular breaks.

I know what you mean Frank...Pittsburgh used to be so covered with smoke from the steel industry it looked like a big fog over the city in pictures..

I don't smoke in front of my kids and I am always willing to put my cigarette out if it is bothering someone but!!!!!!!!! don't call me a criminal for being a smoker...that just rubs me the wrong way...

As for the orb....good capture...but I don't think anyone should be smoking during an investigation unless it's a designated area where no pics are gonna be taken...as for them putting shit on their website..let everyone that knows anything about the paranormal and they will see them as a fake.... Laughing

Well, it seems they are a laughing stock no-a-days anyway. When they first came on the scene they were considered the authority. It seems though the leader hit the proverbial brick wall in his research and resorted to less than scientific theories to say the least.

He lost a good portion of his original team when he did that. Oh, well!
