Here is a snapshot of my EVP Transmission Range Chart from my dissertation on entity physiology and energy cycles. This is located in section III under capabilities.
On the old forum I posted what is needed to produce not only class A EVP but also audible voice speech. Anyway, if you can use this or have questions on how to use this let me know.

Sweet! This should come in real handy! Do you think you could email me the full size version of this, Frank? I'll be sure and comment on this as soon as i've had a chance to look it over and take it all in. Also, I would be real interested in getting your opinion on my "Universal EVP Classification" system I developed. I'll copy it over from the other forums right now.

The Heterodyne Principle and Electronic Voice Phenomenon
Observation:
Audible voices from invisible sources have been recorded with the assistance of modern technology, which is presently being documented by a myriad of investigation and research organizations worldwide. It is believed the audible voice speech and electronic voice phenomenon originates from an EM entity. The process that allows the transmission over this communication medium is unknown even though the mechanism, which makes communication possible, has been known for several decades. The application of the Heterodyne Principle to this type of research had been overlooked until now.
Background:
From the first significant research in acoustics by Orhan Berktay in the early 1960’s to the Japanese researchers in the early to mid 1970’s, using ultrasound as a medium for audible sound transmission has been at the forefront of directional sound projection. The early research was based in underwater applications for sonar and other military/industrial applications. Soon it was realized that the same effects predicted by the Berktay Equation in the water were also being produced through the air.
More recently an innovative student at MIT named Joseph Pompei discovered by using the heterodyne principle based on earlier research he could produce directional sound, which is highly focused. Dr. Pompei’s idea was to overlay an audible signal on an ultrasonic carrier signal allowing for the electronic transmission of a digital signal. Using the Berktay equation in reverse he was able to predict with great accuracy the formation of an “Audio Spotlight” in which a highly focused beam of audible sound was projected from his customized ultrasonic transducer.
The heterodyne principle can be described as a mixing of a transmitted frequency to a separate base frequency, taking the difference between the two and transforming it to an audible signal. For example: if you have an incoming frequency of 42kHz and mix it with a localized base frequency of 40kHz, the difference would be 2kHz. Human hearing ranges between 20Hz and 20kHz placing the intermediate frequency (IF) of 2kHz well within audible levels.
Hypothesis:
The origin of an entities voice speech lies in the production of an audio signal in a beam of modulated ultrasonic waves. The speech is embedded in the ultrasonic frequency, which is converted by the air to produce an audible sound with the assistance of a localized base frequency. The difference or intermediate frequency is the actual audio transmission as defined by the heterodyne principle. When the two primary frequencies are out of phase they will produce a beat frequency which sounds like a steady pulse. This ultrasonic beam is highly focused and directional allowing the entity to speak to a single individual without allowing another person only a couple feet away to hear.
[/center]
Points of interest:
1) Audio sound production is not dependant on atmospheric temperatures between -5°C to 60°C or 23°F to 140°F.
-Speed of sound @ -5°C or 23°F = 328.35 m/s = 1077.26 ft/s = 735.5 mph
- Speed of sound @ 60°C or 140°F = 368 m/s = 1207.35 ft/s = 824.32 mph
- These figures are expressed by the following equation: Vsia ≈ 331.4 +
0.6Tc m/s. where Tc = temperature in Celsius.
2) The diagram in Fig. 1 shows a simple device used for the filtering of ultrasound and amplification of embedded audio. It is laboratory tested by university researchers and reliable.
- Sound enters the opened end
- Foam rubber plug filters the ultrasonic frequencies by absorbing the energy. Allows the audible frequencies to pass due to the longer wavelength. If the dampener is not in place it will cause the microphone membrane to vibrate, creating a distortion in the audible sound.
- The chamber immediately following the foam rubber is for the resonance of the audio sound, which acts to amplify the sound before it reaches the microphone. _________________ Frank Ratka

Yah, and the really cool thing is it works. This is one aspect of paranormal research that is fairly easy to test and experiment with. I made 2 of these tubes and got extraordinary results.
One of the other affects of these experiments was a higher incidence of audible voice communications. Basically the base frequency I was transmitting had sufficient energy to allow a audible wave to form.
This wasn't always the case though. When I first started experimenting with this I had negative results on the audible side even though I got good EVP's. Well I did a little more research and found that sound was produced but didn't have the energy (volume) to vibrate the air, hence vibrating your inner ear. I rectified (no pun intended) that with more power! _________________ Frank Ratka
