EVP - A Response to Child Talk

I was talking to a friend recently and recording for EVP. She’ll show up on several of my EVPs because it seems like her place is really active. She was talking to me about babies (yawn), in this clip. I was explaining that their crying gets under my skin and it’s hard to hear someone in constant pain (plus I just think babies are a pain in the ass lol).

She stops to explain that since they don’t have words they use their screams (so its not always about pain when they cry). SO …

You listen to the very end, where you’ll hear her say:

“They don’t have words, they have –“

… And as she silently mouths a scream, a voice of (what sounds to me like a male) makes a hollow shouting sound.

For reasons I still can't explain - or maybe because it seemed this dude was really straining to shout something - I raised the pitch on him, which I had never thought to try w recordings before that day (considered it "cheating"). After getting a jolt from this little experiment I tweeked the pitch on every like EVP sound in my archive and none of them responded even remotely w/this sort of specialized sound.

Most people would probably argue that it was just the woman's voice, but it seems like her voice may have been "morphed" by the EVP. We've had this happen quite a bit.

The scream is just wierd.... My first thought was it was a parot or something. The lady doesn't have any birds, eh? If not, definitely strange! I've never heard anything like that before.

By the way, have you taken a look at my EVP Classification System, OMS? If not, you should take a peak and consider adopting it.

No birds or other animals. Just her & I in a room w brick walls and relative silence. Tweeking the volume seems a bit unorthodox to me, but [spoiler Frank] I definitely hear a baby screaming after raising the pitch.

Glad to hear you confim this morphing has happened w you & your team. I think your admission of this happening to you may add some validation to my morphed EVPs and vice versa. So far I haven’t run into anyone else w similar (strange) EVPs. You really are the King Very Happy

The next EVP I planned to post is another morph. But it also involves mimickery (which brings it’s credibility down even further, I’m sure, w critics). But I’m flabberghasted by the thing … It’ll be interesting to find out if you have any like this next one.

I have an ASSP/EVP classification already in place. I will post mine and we can compare our systems if you’d like!
