Greetings!
Just a question, hopefully I can get an answer to help me with my investigations =) I have a graveyard nearby to my house. I live in a pretty built up estate, but it's off a dirt road that heads into the more "countryish" areas, but still has some farmland properties surrounding it. I was wondering if it would be useless to do some scouring around with voice recorders/photos/ouija etc. there because of close surrounding properties and lights that keep it from being that dark? There's graves there that date back to about the 1820s i think so it made me wonder about what could have happened on that site since then. I've been there and walked around at around 1am with a couple of mates and it didn't scare any of us at all so it sort of seems like a lost cause, but i'd rather get a more "expert" ( if there's such thing in this field ) opinion before i write it off. |

Heya Siggy,
I think you have a pretty good chance of capturing EVP's just about anywhere. Just be sure to adhere to a strict set of protocols during your sessions. Please be sure to check out my basic EVP tutorial for more info:
EVP Tutorial
You might wanna check out my EVP Classification system as well:
Universal EVP Classification System
My classification system is a work in progress, but it will at least make you aware of some things to listen for when you're reviewing your audio recordings.
If you have been frequenting this site for awhile, you've probably heard me say many times, that it's pretty much not even worth taking photos during investigations anymore. But, if you do take photos at this particular location and there are a lot of light sources, just be aware of them and take note of their locations. The worse thing that could happen is you get a few false positive "light anamoly" or "orb" photos, neither of which count anyway. So, it doesn't really matter....
Ouija Boards.... They will work just about anywhere. I think it's more a matter of who is using it. Try recording audio during your Ouija Board sessions and have someone keep notes. Have them write the exact times down when messages are received on the Ouija Board for later comparison with your audio recording. If you do this, please be sure to keep us posted on your findings!
