This is my first post and I am posting on behalf of my sister. I am not sure if this is the right place to post it or not. Hopefully someone can help me out. Last night my sister found a little folded piece of paper on her bathroom counter. When she opened it up it was a receipt dated Jan. 1, 2000. The time on the receipt was 12:59am. There is no other information on the receipt. She said it all of a sudden appeared and would of noticed it the last time she used the bathroom. There are two things we are trying to determine. #1: who the receipt belongs to and #2: how it got on her bathroom sink. She was 14 the beginning of 2000 and no one in the house went anywhere that night. I am sure she has cleaned her bathroom numerous times in the past 7 years and has never seen this receipt. She has talked to everyone who has been to her house and used her bathroom in the past several months and no one could have left it there. We have ruled out anyone maybe removing anything from their pockets. No one would have been wearing clothing that was 7 years old. Even if it were a receipt some how left in her house several years ago from an old garment, how in the heck did it all of a sudden appear on her counter? Has anyone else experienced anything like
this? Could something paranormal have left it? We have had other weird things happen in the past to several other family members. Thank you in advance for any responses. |

Honestly, I have never experienced materialization, which is what you are referring to. Is it possible? Well, I will put it this way, these events of materialization have been reported throughout history and blamed on the paranormal. Now, I'm not saying that this is a case for the paranormal. Any number of things could have happened to bring that piece of paper to your counter. It could have been stuck to the bottom of her purse from the car floor or in some long unused make-up bag, which fell-out without notice.
My point is to blame this single event on a ghost or the paranormal would be a mistake to say the least. Is there any other type of activity happening in your house? _________________ Frank Ratka

Hello and welcome to the forum! That's quite a mystery you've got there! It is impossible to say for sure I guess, but I would have to say, no a spirit wouldn't be able to pass physical objects back and forth between their dimension/existence (whatever the case may be) and ours. Many people believe that they can manipulate (move/carry/lift/throw/hide, etc) physical objects on our plane, but I have never personally seen compelling evidence of that either.
The thing is, "ghosts" are not of physical form, so I don't see how 90% of what people claim about them could even be possible, such as biting, pushing, shoving, scratching, tripping, molestations and even footsteps and knockings for that matter. They just don't don't have the body parts or the physical consistency required to accomplish those feats (that we know of)! How is it even possible for them to have clothes on the way people always describe them? I would really like to hear Frank's take on this (if he's still around). I'm sure he could explain this a lot better than me....
In any case, your story is definitely intriguing and it will probably drive you guys nuts, trying to figure this mystery out.... lol
Here are a few questions that come to mind:
- Is it possible that the receipt could have been in someone's jacket pocket and it fell out?
- Could the receipt have been in an old shopping bag someone had in the bathroom? Maybe someone was putting items in a bag or taking them out and the recipt fell out?
- Could the receipt have been stuck to the bottom of an item and when they sat it down on the sink it fell off?
- Is there a medicine cabinet above the sink? Maybe the receipt could have been blown off the top of it (or from inside of it), onto the sink?
- Could the recipt have been down in a heating vent and blown out, onto the sink?
Just a few thoughts....
Anyone else?

| The two of you that posted above do have good points. It is driving my sister crazy though! She is very meticulous and she has OCD so I guess that is why it is driving her mad, lol. The thing is, it wasn't there and then the next time she went to use the bathroom it was there. It is possible it came out of a vent and it was somebody elses receipt from that night in 2000. It is just weird how it is 7 years old and all of a sudden appeared. We are probably looking too much into it and there is a simple explaination for it. Thank you for your responses! |

Yes, I'm still around! I am where-ever people need help.
Materialization: is it possible!? Sure it is! Researchers have been working on different methods of teleportation for over a decade now and have made great progress in the field. Now, I would not say they can teleport a Buick or even a pencil yet but they have been able to electronically disassemble and reconstruct matter, transport it to another location only to reconstruct it.
On the paranormal side, like I said, I haven't witnessed it myself but for what it's worth I know people (who I trust) who have had objects materialize by entities they communicate with. To be fair, they did not directly witness the event but due to time, access and space restriction they deemed it to be a true event. In other words no one could have slipped past them through the only door to the room and place the object on the table in the couple minutes they stood outside the door.
So to answer the materialization question, "Is it possible?" I believe so! Did the object come from another dimension? Can't say for sure! Time and space are not linear so any number of strange things can happen and do all the time. Maybe your sister just happen to be in the right place to witness this slip! _________________ Frank Ratka
