Hello. I lived in a house in Boardman, Ohio that was definitely haunted. It wasn't until shortly after we moved in that we found out that there was a murder/suicide commited there. We think that those poor people were the spirits who remained there after death. The deaths took place in January 1968. The father shot his daughter, then himself. Every member of my family saw the male spirit but my father was the only one who ever saw the girl. I'd love to talk to someone else who may have lived there, to see if they had the same experiences that we had for the short time we lived there. If you lived in a haunted house in Boardman, please tell me the location so I'm sure it was the same house. Thank you.

Hey Lilbit I am starting to feel the same situation you are. But on my side it was a bit strange because after living in this house for 3 years I have been learning shocking facts about the house that I could of lived without. I do believe my house may be haunted, but the spirit is really good about keeping itself on a down low.

Hi Carpathian. I sure wish our spirits would have been the quiet sort. lol They made their prescence very well known! After we moved into the house, and realized that it was haunted, we realized that we missed some warning signs that could have indicated a problem. Like the fact that the woman who cleaned the house wouldn't go upstairs at all, or even on the steps. You could see thick dust on the bannister where she only dusted as far as she could reach from the floor. Or the night we were moving in, and a cop stopped and asked "You aren't moving in here are you??" As if he was surprised. He said he patrolled that street every night and if we ever needed anything to just flag him down. We just thought he was being a good cop. Actually, we were glad to learn of the history of the house because it made us feel as if we knew who was there with us. Sure didn't make us feel any more comfortable though! Apparently a lot of people in that area knew about the house because they wouldn't even pull into the driveway. What a scary experience this was for my entire family. It was two months before we found another house but it felt like years!

Well later I was told a man killed himself in the house that I am currently living in. And it seems like one time out of the month the cat seems to freak out the same exact why every time. The cat will be laying on the couch then it will just jump up and watch the kitchen, and its head will follow something that is not there, and it always leads towards the basement. Im feeling like something might be there, I have been having dramatic mood changes over the past few months. All of those times I wish I had a camera when the cat goes crazy. Like I always heard your house pet will always be the first to notice something odd.

We had two dogs and they would bark and chase these spirits through the house so animals do sense them. I've also heard that children can usually pick up on them before adults do. With the house that we lived in there was no denying that we weren't the only ones living there. Like I said, all five of us saw the man, and my dad saw the girl. I've often wondered why she only appeared to my father. Our neighbors across the street saw the man in the upstairs windows lots of times too. I'd love to go back to Boardman and talk to the people who live in that house now. It's been completely redone since we lived there and looks very nice. I've been by there a few times and hoped to see someone outside. I think I'd have the courage to stop and talk to them if I saw them outside. My fear is that if the house is no longer haunted, that these people will call the police, or worse yet, a mental hospital, thinking I'm a nut job! haha Let's face it, unless you've lived through something like this it's hard to believe. Stiil haunted or not, I'm not sure I could go inside if I was invited in. I think my fear and memories of what we lived through wouldn't allow me to step through the door. Even now as I'm writing this I keep drifting back to the things that happened there. Naturally no one in the family believed that the place was haunted. They all had an open invitation to stay with us and no one took us up on the offer. In fact, when we first moved in my Uncle and his wife were living with us. But on the third day of living there they were gone. At least they believe us because they heard and saw what we did. Didn't take them long to vacate the premises! lol I'd like to think that those souls are finally at rest so the family that lives there now can live a normal life.
