I need some advice for my first ghost hunt. I will thank anyone who gives me some worthwhile answers. Should I use a digital camera? What do I look for when there's a spirit near? I'm going with a few friends to my other friend's (see my other post) house to investigate. If I get freaked out, how can I calm myself down. I also discovered that I can hear EVP's clear as day. Over the phone I could hear the spirit talking, no BS.....
Any advice is appreciated!

I would say take a video camera, with night vision, a digital camera, and a voice recorder. As for what to look for IDK.
I wanna go somewhere but I dont know of any haunted places around here. |

Thank you. I'll see if there is any way I can post my findings! I'm kinda new to the vid and pic posting.
What about a motion detecting camera that films when anything moves?

I have been a paranormal investigator for almost 2 years now. My advice would be to take both a digital camera and a 35mm I always just get disposables from wal-mart.
As far as taking pics goes ... if you feel strange just shoot in whatever direction the feeling comes from...remember to always take 2 pics one right after the other...this will help in authenticating anything you might get(ex..something is there one second and gone the next. If you feel uncomfortable you can leave the area if you feel to scared or you could try a prayer if you have a favorite.
Remember to pay attention to the conditions of the place you are investigating, dusty, dirty etc. also if you plan on doing any evp work make sure you have a pen & paper to write down any normal sound that may seem paranormal ie: a dog barking , car driving by etc. Keep an open mind but a skeptic eye! Hope this helps... |

| Motion dectector might be a good tool dependng on the sitiuation... for example, if you are simply setting up & leaving, this would work great. But if you are staying I would recomend using a regular video camera, night vision cameras are what you really want on an investigation, but not every has one handy... A motion dectecting camera is a good tool when used as a backup camera. |
