I don't know if I am. One of them was a big aboriginal man, who would stand at the foot of my bed when I was little. I would run out screaming, and my parents said it was my imagination, until he would come up behind my mum and grab her. sometimes he would push her. but when he grabbed her, she would yell in pain and it left bruises.
How can you explain that?
Or the one we called Skip on our boat? Every one heard him pacing on the deck, or see the wheel spinning when there was no wind or current. but he was good, he helped us a few times. only saw him once, when he was too intrigued in our depth sounder to notice.
Or the man in a checkered, flannel shirt and had dark salt & pepper hair at the rental house we were at. He would walk up the back steps to the back door and disappear. even my mum saw him, or the aboriginal women at the same house, she scared other people that rented it before us, by throwing ashtrays and stuff across the room.
Or the old guy that was here when I moved in. He would walk in my room, stand in the corner of the room, do a soft angry growl, walk out and start banging the walls and roof and scratch at stuff, come in, stand in the corner of my room again. he was furious. this happened all night, until I finally found out what was wrong and put him to rest.
That's just some, and if you can explain them, be my guest. |

is your Name Haley Joel Osment? Hehe. Uhm.. No it's not abnormal to me. I believe that there's a certain part of the brain that has been subconciously blocked off so that you can't see the ghosts and spirits. I also believe that this part of the brain works like a camera that takes a picture of the ghost. That is why some people claim to see them. Also... I believe that some people have broken down the barrier to this part of the brain and are able to see that shit. _________________ Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. |

I'm glad some body believes me!. thanks.
I'm an aussie, so I wouldn't have a clue who you're talking about.
I shouldn't worry though, nothing ever happens in Australia, not even King Kong wants to visit. Kangaroo Jack is mad, but that's normal over here. haha |

He was convinced I wanted to take over or destroy HIS house, and he wanted me out. I told him I understood it's his house, and I had no intention of taking over or destroying it. I came in peace, and only renting. In time I will go. He was happy with that, and has left me alone with no more banging. Occasionally I sense him, but he's probably just checking up every now and then.
Skip, the boat ghost used to do that. The boat's name was Nellie, she was built in 1898, and Skip's name when he was alive, was Tom Weller.
If your interested. |

You kind of do when some one won't let you sleep and is throwing images of tearing a house down and land being taken over in a war. I asked if that's what was wrong, and he got right in my face. He was yelling at me, but I can't hear them, I can only hear with my ears, but I could see he was saying "get out, this is my house".
As far as sensing goes, anyone can sense a ghost. It's where you know somebody's there, and you swear your being watched. When I look in the direction, usually the bedroom door, I might see a shape, but it disappears with the feeling so quick, I'm not sure what I saw.
What skip used to do was every now and then, we would hear footsteps that would go from the bow down to the stern, But he was never threatening, he was helpful.
But I thought you didn't believe me. |

These discussions end the same way every time. It's not so much that I don't believe you. It's more a question of what is actually causing you to see/hear/feel/"sense" all of these things. Have you or anyone else in your family, who has had these experiences ever been diagnosed with any sort of mental illnesses, such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia or Schizotypal Personality Disorder (and please be honest!)? If so, are any of you on medication for it?
Before ya get pissed off for me asking, please take a moment to read the following article I wrote about sensitives:
Seeing/Hearing/Sensing Dead People? - Get Help Here!

Alright... the truth. The facts are my grand mother was deeply into witchcraft, apparently she had really old books of spells and stuff. my mother can see them and talk to them. she was into witchcraft as well, until she turned Christian. I can't hear them, and only see them sometimes. My mother told the doctors about seeing and hearing them after She felt like my dead father was going to jump through the window and get her good and proper. they did a bunch of tests and ruled out bipolar,Schizophrenia, and dementia. They diagnosed her with severe PTSD (Post traumatic Stress Disorder). Now they've put her on so much medication, she hardly knows what's what. She's also had a fair few TIA's, a couple of strokes, angina attacks, heart attacks, insulin dependent diabetes, and a few other more minor things. My brother has Asperger's Disorder and can't look after himself that well. My father was a evil, control freak, who figured out new ways of punishing us, and did what no father should do to his daughter. He'd only be mean when no one was there, but as soon as some one was there, he'd turn into the perfect, sun shone out of his butt, person. Till they were gone, then he'd be mean again. he was so good at it, that when we did get up the courage to ask for help, no body believed us,and said it was our fault. The police took him away and moved us when he went ballistic in public. He died on the boat. The boat was sinking, and they found him when bits of him was blocking up the pumps. The doctors say I'm fine, just under a bit of stress, and I'm on no medication.
That is nothing but the truth. |

Not to sound disrespectful or insensitive or anything, but it sounds like there is some history of mental illness and definitely lots of superstition in your family. My advice to anyone that is seeing/hearing/feeling/"sensing"/talking to "things" that aren't there (especially on a regular basis), is to seek mental help. Let's face it, that's just not normal.
Sorry if you don't like my views on this subject. I'm just being honest. As i've said many times throughout the forum, I have repeatedly seen a pattern over and over with "sensitives". They ALWAYS have some sort of mental illness. I feel that if they don't, they either just haven't been diagnosed yet or they are in denial. I've also seen first hand, how the wrong combination of medication for mental illnesses can cause people to hallucinate and see dead people too....

Ok so I have to pose the question....
I do not see or hear ghosts on a regular basis, Although I did see a man at the top of my stairs, have caught shadows moving out of the corner of my eyes and do hear talking that sounds as if it's a radio station not quite in tune. I cannot make out a converstation. I do talk with my ghosts because sometimes it seems to help. Not that I hear them talk back. I just tell them to quit banging around in the middle of the night when I am trying to sleep. I also can tell sometimes when something is around. I get that creeped out feeling, hair standing up on the back of my neck and goose bumps on my goose bumps. Do I need to see a shrink as well? I do not have any form of mental illness, although I do take narcotic pain meds. I dont think I hallucinated any of these things. I feel sometimes it does come along with the territory but as you state not on a regular basis. _________________ Founder
