A Reverse EVP - Yes Reverse EVPs Exist

Ok Aedryan,

This situation proved to me that there is such a thing as a reversed EVP. It’s also proof (for me) that whoever/whatever these entities are, at least some are plenty capable of manipulating/ mimicking our voices.

In this EVP, played forward, I ask “Are you a Saint?” … and then you’ll hear a responding voice mimicking mine, speaking apparent jibberish nonsense. I had asked a series of “who are you” questions before this (priest? do you live here?, etc.).

Note: You will hear kids in the background, from the playground next door.

It was clearly using my voice. And after slowing it down and amplifying it to try & make sense the voice, I decided to try playing it backwards …

I’ll tell you what I heard in it after getting your interpretation. To me it’s plain as day. PS no tweeking was done to these two, save for an increase in volume.

Yes, reverse speech or reverse EVP's have been around since (1950's) the grandfather of EVP, Freidrich Jurgenson (Swedish filmamker and EVP/ITC researcher; now deceased) first recognized these "extra" voices as being something other than human.

Right - good historical reminder! But of course many ppl take perfectly forward EVPs and fanatically back-play them until it's obvious there's large-scale matrixing abuse going on.

I think that's why a lot of ppl no longer trust there's even such a thing as a genuine backward EVP. Not to mention that they seem pretty rare relative to the forward running captures.

But I wouldn't be surprised if both you and A capture quite a few of these, due to your careful, professional collection & treatment of recordings. Yes or no?

That one EVP of yours sounds pretty strong. Do you tend to pick up strong EVPs in general? ... Thanks for listening to this reversal. Would love to hear some of your reversals, or Aedryans.

Interesting.... I downloaded the file and alalyzed it. It sounds to me like the voice is saying, "In Your Psyche". Slowed down in reverse, it kinda/sorta sounds like it COULD be repeating your question - "Are You A Saint?", but as with any recording played in reverse, I would have to say it's inconclusive. Who knows though....

And yes, it does seem like "it" probably used your voice to project itself. That is what I refer to as "morphing" in my classification system and it happens pretty frequently. It seems like this may be the case with most your recordings I have heard so far.

I hear "Ooh - A Saint" and when I listened to it carefully after the first listen, I could definitely hear a hard "t" at the very end.

If I were religious, I'd have wondered what a "Saint" was doing in a church, speaking backwards to me lol!

Well from what I see most people keep even their muttled, questionable recordings as a general practice – the ones you sensibly toss.

Well, once they have collected a 30 gig HHD worth and realize they can record more. I guess then they will say, "why in the hell do I have these again?!" Laughing

With all EVP's, do you not hear anything until you play it back on the computer?

Hi Jacob,
Normally EVP's are not heard by the naked ear at the time they are recorded. Personally, I have only legitimately heard disembodied voices with the naked ear on two occassions and unfortunately, I was home both times, so I wasn't recording audio. Crying or Very sad

Some people claim that EVP can be heard in real time through headphones with special, inexpensive microphones, which you can buy at sporting good stores. They are typically used for deer hunting....
