I am from a little town called Conneautville. Close by is the Hotel Conneaut in ConneautLake which has been investigated. Out here in "the country" we have a place that we call Dread-X. I have been there only twice. Friends and family of mine have all gone out there and they always tell me what happened. People are have said to see a little girl come running out of where the house once stood as you drive by and she will watch you drive by and wave. Screaming has been heard there.. and gun shots as well. I have heard the story of the place over and over from all different people.. what I hear is, back in slavery times there was this big house with it's family and of course their slaves. Back behind the house there were slave courters. The man went mad and shot his wife and kids out in the backyard, then went after his slaves then took the gun to himself. I have seen the place and the house is no longer standing, the slave courters are still there but they are in very poor condition as well. When I was there with a few friends, we felt not alone the whole time. We kept hearing footsteps and seeing shadows running and hiding amongst the tall weeds surrounding the ruins of the house. This was during the second time, but first I only had the eerie feeling. I have not gone back there for a few years now and I am unsure of what it looks like now. I have heard that a trailor was put on the land but the family quickly moved out for reasons I wasn't told. But that is our little towns haunted place, has anyone heard of it?

Hi Amburr,
My hometown is Albion, which is very close to Conneautville, as i'm sure you know. I'm really surprised that i've never heard of this place....

It's a shame they tore down the Shadeland Manor (I think that's what it was called) mansion out there in Conneautville. I would have loved to do an investigation in that big spooky old place!

I am unsure if you can google it, cause I'm unsure of the name of the place. Perhaps I should go and find the address of the place, if the address is still in existence. Oh, and I too live in Albion now, so yes I know the place quite well now adays... Shadeland Manor.. hmm.. I know where Shadeland is..
