| I have had many occurances since moving in my house. Most of which have occured in the state of sleep where your mind is awake but my bodys not. I have seen a girl walking arround my room looking at my stuff and once i felt a hand go all over my body and start tugging at my feet. I actually fought back with this and pulled myself up but when i became fully awake i still was half way down my bed with my legs hanging off the bottom. While awake i have also seen strange shadowy things moving towards my bedroom just out of the cornor of my eye. I am kind of freaked out about this, should I be? |

| i do not believe that my family or i have had sleep paralysis, i do not know what that is exactly. No, no one has been harmed that i know of. I have fallen down the stairs and thought someone had pushed me but no one was there, so i passed it off as me being clumsly or something. |

What your experiencing is "Sleep paralysis" or Awareness sleep paralysis...meaning you awake but a certain part of your brain that shuts down during sleep so that you can't harm yourself during "REM" kicks in...you are aware of everything going on around you but are unable to move or scream etc,...The dark shadowy thing is common during "SP" also you can often see what looks to be actual people walking around but are unable to do anything about it...
I've had this for years and am still looking for the answers...scientifically or paranormal...hmmm couldn't tell you...but I do know it's really scarey at times...because you can't do anything to avoid it and it doesn't have to hereditary...
Can I ask you if when you were finally awake what position your body was for example "on your back, side, stomach, etc,." |

| Well for sure what your experiencing is sleep paralysis...the first thing to know about it is..No one has ever died from an episode and it's really scarey but it only lasts from 30 seconds to up to 3 minutes usually...I've had it for a long time and I sympathize with you...Just remember if you can control the fear of what's happening then your one step ahead of being in control of it....If you have any other questions you can private message me and I'll tell you all I know about it....hope this helps |
