"A Spirit I Have" - A Haunting In Erie, PA.

This is a very intriguing story, which spans at least 3 different residences our clients have lived at. Whether or not "something" has been following our clients from residence to residence, we do not know at this point of the investigation. According to our clients, residence # 3 did not seem to have any sort of activity, so at this time we do not plan on investigating there. Our client's present address (Residence # 4) is currently under investigation and we are looking into the other 2 residences.

Residence # 4 Interview

On March 14, 2004 I met with the residents and conducted the initial interview. After the interview, I took about 8 preliminary pictures around the apartment and out of them, 3 seemed to have anomalous things in them. We had scheduled our first investigation to take place on March 22, 2004, but the residents had to cancel at the last minute.

Orb In Master Bedroom - This photo was taken on March 14, 2004 at 7:12 pm after our initial interview with the residents. No comparison photo could be taken, because my memory card was full.

Camera - Toshiba PDR-4300 4.0 Megapixel

Solar X-Rays - At midnight there were 3 spotted regions on the visible disk. Solar flare activity was very low. No C class events were recorded during the day. (Exact status when photo was taken is unknown)

Geomagnetic Field - The geomagnetic field was quiet to active on March 14. Solar wind speed ranged between 458 and 522 km/sec under the lingering influence of a high speed stream from coronal hole CH84. (Exact status when photo was taken is unknown)

Moon - 8 days prior to new moon. (Apx. 49%)

Lost Evidence

Unfortunately 2 of the anomalous photos that I had captured during the interview have since been misplaced. So, at this point all I can do is describe those couple of photos and my interprutations of them as best as I can. The only reason I am mentioning these photos is because they may very well have some relevance in this investigation. The reason I say this, is because it seems that the majority of strange happenings that the residents have reported is hearing "something" walk DOWN the stairs, but never up.

Lost Photos 1 & 2 - Both of these photos were taken from the top of the stairway, aiming down to the bottom of the steps. At the bottom of the steps, on the carpet there appeared to be the face of an old woman. The old woman's face seemed to move slightly in one of the photos, but this could have just been because I may have taken the picture at a slightly different angle. These photos could have very well just been illusions or tricks of the light or even just the way the carpet was laying after having been vacuumed. If in fact these photos were paranormal, the impression I got from them is that perhaps an elderly woman may have lived there at one time and she fell down the steps and died. This is purely speculation of course, but nonetheless it is worth mentioning.

June 18, 2004 Investigation

We conducted our investigation on June 18, 2004 and we made some very interesting discoveries and captured a lot of evidence! We are quite certain that at least 3 spirits were present on this night, possibly more....

Brief Summary

Dee Dee and I arrived about 9:20 pm and started getting our equipment setup. At 9:40 pm we started doing our walk through of the first floor after I got the camcorder setup and rolling at the top of the stairway upstairs. Dee was carrying the audio recorder and our investigation log, while I was taking pictures and getting tempature readings. I had tried to get EMF readings, but due to the close quarters of the apartment it was useless. Our base readings seemed to be around 4 milligauss or more in every direction, so we did not bother recording any EMF data.

All of the tempature readings stayed fairly consistant from room to room, with no substantial fluctuations. After doing a quick walk through of the first floor we proceeded into the basement. Again, most of the tempature readings remained consistant with no radical fluctuations except for in one area of the ceiling/upstairs floor. There was an area that fluctuated from 77 - 87 degrees within about a 2 foot radius, but the hottest point was about 6 inches above a 100 watt lightbulb, so it's a pretty safe bet to say that was most likely the cause. Several photos were concentrated on that area and out of them all, only 1 possible small orb showed up right in that area. "Something" in motion was captured in another photo in the basement, but it didn't resemble an orb, as it had no shape to it at all. If I had to describe it I would say that it looked like a small mass of ecto in motion. It looks identical to the "something" in motion, which was later captured in the 2nd floor bathroom. Either way, these will stay in our "unidentied" files.

Once we finished scowering the basement we headed back up to the first floor and took a few more pictures then we proceeded up to the attic (3rd floor). It was noticably cooler up in the attic and it seemed that the closer I measured to the peak of the roof, the cooler the tempatures were, but there were no radical fluctuations noted. Upon reviewing the photos we found quite a few orbs in the attic. Amongst them were a few exceptional orbs in motion. One other thing worth noting is that out of the 4 windows in the attic, 3 of them had pentacle stickers on them. One of the residents later told us that she had placed them there for whatever reason.

After we finished in the attic we went down to the 2nd floor and took pictures and continued looking for tempature fluctuations. No notable fluctuations were found. While we were taking pictures, 2 photos were taken back to back in the bathroom and the second photo had what appeared to be "something" in motion that was not in the photo taken seconds earlier. As mentioned above, it doesn't have the appearance of an orb, so we're not sure what it is. As you will see below, we have also discovered what appears to be some sort of red energy in a couple of the photos that were taken on the 2nd floor as well.

We then went back down to the first floor and I took a few more pictures then I went outside and took a few photos of the front of the house. Afterwards I went back in the apartment took some more pictures around the first floor then I went outside in the back yard and took a few pictures of the back of the house. Once I went back in, I continued to take more pictures onthe first floor. At this time we have only noted 2 possible orbs out of all the photos taken on the 1st floor.

By this time, the video tape had about 7 minutes left of recording time and the cassete tape in our audio recorder just reached its end, so we sat and talked with the lady of the house for a few minutes while we waited for the video tape run out. Once we finished talking, we packed up our equipment and we left about 11:30 pm.

Anamolous Photos Captured

We took a total of 89 photos throughout the premises. Not all of the anamolous photos that were collected on this night will be posted. We are only posting the best ones. Other than resizing none of the photos have been altered or enhanced in any way.

Little Bright Orb And Large Orb In The Attic - This photo was taken at 10:00 pm as we were entering the attic. The larger orb is to the left and the small bright orb is to the top of the stairs and up by the roof. 2 other comparison photos were taken of the stairway from the top of the steps and from the bottom of the steps and neither of these orbs showed up in the photos.

2 Orbs In Motion In The Attic - This photo was taken at 10:03 pm. If you zoom in on the photo a little bit, you can see that the orbs have trails behind them and they seem to be moving away from each other. One of them is heading upward and the other is heading downward.

2 Orbs By Dee Dee In The Attic - This photo was also taken at 10:03 pm, but we are unsure whether or not it was taken before or after the last photo. In any case, the orbs have clearly moved.

Little Bright Orb - This photo was taken at 10:05 pm. Could this be the same little bright orb that was captured at 10:00 pm as we were entering the attic?

Red Orb In Attic - This photo was taken at 10:06 pm. The orb seems to have a light red tint to it.

Fleeing Orb In Attic - This photo was taken at 10:08 pm. The exceptional orb in motion seems to be fleeing into the speaker box. Was it trying to take cover inside the speaker box so it could observe us? Was it trying to evade having its picture taken?

Anamolous Video Footage Captured

Out of all the evidence captured, the video footage is the most remarkable. We had just left the camcorder setup at the top of the staircase on the 2nd floor aiming down the steps to the front door. The running time of the video tape was 1:01:47 (1 Hour - 1 Minute and 47 Seconds) and throughout this whole time we have what seems to be at least 2 very curious little spirit orbs that go up and down the stairs whenever the lady of the house goes up or down the steps. It is impossible to tell if it is the same orb every time or if it is several orbs, but they all appear to be the same size. So far we have viewed the video 4 times and we have noted at least 11 instances, where a spirit orb is seen moving on the staircase. It is our observation that the spirits seem to be avoiding us, but they also seem to keep a pretty close eye on the lady of the house. Out of at least 10 photos that were taken of the staircase, none of them produced an orb. Upon viewing all of the video tape we could see that no orbs were ever in view when the pictures were taken.

1:11 Into The Video - 2 orbs were seen. One of them came out of the wall on the left side and went upstairs and the other one came out of the steps towards the top and they both went upstairs.
1:41 Into The Video - The lady of the house came down the steps and turned the stair light off. As soon as she turned the corner at the bottom of the stairs an orb appeared out of nowhere at the bottom of the stairs then it floated up the steps and vanished up towards the top of the steps. It moved so quickly that due to the loss of quality when creating a Windows Media File you cannot see it. Therefore we are not showing it.
2:00:25 Into The Video - As soon as Aedryan started shining the laser pointer of the thermometer at the bottom of the staircase an orb came out of the wall about halfway up the steps and went upstairs to the 2nd floor.
From 8:35:20 - 10:02 - The lady of the house goes outside and voices are heard talking on the video tape. (See EVP section)
12:30 Into The Video - The lady of the house goes upstairs into the master bedroom and as soon as she is out of sight another orb comes out of the wall and goes upstairs. Strangely, it came out of the wall in almost the same exact spot that the one in the 2:00:25 clip came from.
12:45 Into The Video - While the lady of the house was still upstairs another orb comes out of the wall in the same spot the other 2 orbs came from. It headed upstairs then kind of circled around and went down the stairs to the bottom and vanished.
16:58 Into The Video - The lady of the house goes back downstairs and as soon as she got around the corner an orb comes all the way down the stairs and goes in between the opened front door and the wall at the bottom of the staircase. Once it gets behind the door it quickly turns around and comes halfway back up the steps and goes into the wall around the same area where the other 2 orbs came out of.
From 20:09 - 20:11 - Voices are heard on the video tape. (Still under investigation)
24:16 Into The Video - When Aedryan, Dee Dee and the lady of the house all came upstairs to the 2nd floor, on our way up to the attic, an orb appears at the top of the steps and seemed to go back down the steps and into the wall to the right.
40:10:26 Into The Video - (EVP) A woman's or a child's voice is heard on the video tape. It was also picked up on our cassette audio recorder as well. It seems to be saying, "Move!".
41:28 Into The Video - As we were all heading back down the stairs an orb came out of the wall on the opposite side of where the others have been coming out of. It came up the steps and circled behind the lady of the house. It cannot be seen where it went then.
43:24 Into The Video - An orb moves along the top step of the staircase. It moved so quickly that due to the loss of quality when creating a Windows Media File you cannot see it. Therefore we are not showing it.
45:25:25 Into The Video - An orb appears in the middle of the staircase about halfway up and goes upstairs. Once again, it moved so quickly that due to the loss of quality when creating a Windows Media File you cannot see it. Therefore we are not showing it.

EVP Captured On Video

These are the remarkable EVP's that were captured on the video recorder between 8:35:20 and 10:02 into the video tape when the lady of the house had left to go to her sister's house for a few minutes. Again, the camcorder was on the 2nd floor of the apartment and Dee Dee and I were down in the basement at the time. The only person upstairs was the man of the house and he was in bed asleep during our whole stay and their 2 dogs were shut in the bedroom with him. Please note that these folks have no children and there were never any televisions or radios on throughout the night. Other than amplification and noise reduction, these evp's have not been altered or enhanced in any way.

Our Conclusion

We believe that there are at least 2 - 3 active spirits residing in this home and possibly more. Additionally, we believe that there may be some other sort of other residual haunting present, based on the nature of the EVP. The residents have given us permission to return again and we look forward to putting more focus on the attic next time, because there seemed to be a lot of activity up there during this investigation. I can only imagine what else we may have gotten if we would have had an additional video recorder up there on this night.
